Official Sum 41 Thread

Ok, so with the release of the new album about 2 weeks ago, theres been an increase in sum41 threads and with the tour for america and europe coming up im sure they'll be more, so now they get an official thread YAY.

ALL Sum41 related stuff must go in here, and if you've come in to slag the band off, then fuk off.

Thanks, Butler :thumb:

They are one of the few bands I can think of that actually got BETTER after every album.

I'm impressed with Chuck. Sum 41 are probably the most popular band that I like.

Untitled 10-20-2004 04:13 PM

There great, up there with blink and greenday for my fave band, but i think Does this look infected is better then Chuck. Dont get me wrong, its a great album, but i prefer the 3rd.

DJ Ducksauce 10-20-2004 05:55 PM

i was wondering when someone would finally make an official sum 41 thread. Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands. Their old stuff was really good and so is their new stuff. I really need to pick up Chuck next time i go to the store.

stke22 10-20-2004 06:17 PM

yes. Sum 41 needs an official thread. they may not be as popular as green day or blink, but at least respect++ for their major advancement in popularity as pop-punk/metallic punkish music genre groups.

BTW, read my review!

Can anybody list all the songs that didn't come with the original albums? ex: Moron, What we're all about.

DJ Ducksauce 10-20-2004 06:44 PM

what we're all about was released on half hour of power, but was re-recorded for the spiderman album. They got Kerry King to do the solo. Yeah Baby!!

SumCanadian 10-20-2004 07:14 PM

Chuck is amazing. Almost all the songs are extremely catchy and the solos that Dave puts out just shows you how talented he really is. This is the first album where you can tell how much other bands have influenced them; such as "There's No Solution"-Linkin Park, "The Bitter End"-Metallica. And the chorus of Some Say sounds so similar to Handle This it's eerie. I think Chuck is uber compared to D.T.L.I.

stke22 10-20-2004 11:29 PM

FIRST GAME!!!

Name 5 Sum 41 songs with more than 20 second solos.

Mellophobia_90 10-21-2004 12:08 AM

Yeah, it was called Daves crazy hair/What we're all about or something simaler. But the spider man one was longer then that.

TheBassicBassist 10-21-2004 09:20 AM

there was a chorus in Daves Posessed Hair/ It's What We're All About that wasn't in the spiderman recording, and there were two in the spiderman one that weren't in the one on half hour of power

and Untitled258, where's that pole that i put on all of my threads, this is the official thread, let's see who likes what albums

Untitled 10-21-2004 09:23 AM

No point in a poll, someone else will want a poll for "fave member" one day, and you cant have 2 polls up, just get people to type there fave album.

beek 10-21-2004 03:57 PM

Untitled, you are a moron.
I just read that blink 182, greenday, and sum41 are your favourite bands. Please tell me that this is some sort of twisted practical joke. If not, you should do the world a favour and shoot yourself.
