MuffRaider 05-07-2004 10:09 AM

id like to see a review for a single foot double bass pedal... i wish i could remember the name of it, but i think it's black and pink and it's a double bass pedal for one foot.

EDIT: it is called The Dualist

Blood of Fury 05-24-2004 03:52 PM

I'd like to see a review of any of the Roland V-Drum series electronic drum sets.

bobby__johnny 06-04-2004 06:59 AM

even though this isnt a review request, i think some of the junk should be cleaned out of here. there's more questions than there is reviews.

AfroDrummer16 06-04-2004 06:33 PM

yeah nobody is making any reviews....but neways it would be nice if some1 could review the Janus Ergo Double pedals and compare them to Tama Iron Cobra's

bobby__johnny 06-08-2004 09:40 PM

i think Kristian is the man for the Ergo Review.

I only know about the pedal... I have one. Its not great but if your just starting to learn double bass and just want it cuz its cheap, I would recomend it. Its not real smooth but it'll get you started.

Double Bass Pedal?

I'm looking for a good, solid, middle-of-the-line double bass pedal. Any recommendations or ones to avoid? What makes them good or bad? Thanks

Chad Smith Snare

UrbanGeek 08-30-2004 05:02 AM

I would like to see a review or some reviews on good/decent splash cymbles, prefribly under £35, however i would also be interested in ones about splash cymbles up to the retail value of about £65. thank you.

UrbanGeek 08-30-2004 05:03 AM

i've just written a review on the dtxpress2 yamaha kit if anyone is interested...

X0senses_fail0X 09-03-2004 07:00 PM

In lieu of there being almost no reviews of stuff in here, expecially compared to guitar and bass, In the coming weeks I'm going to try and review almost every piece of equipment I have.

Kristian 09-08-2004 12:11 AM

^^^ That's great. I'll maybe review some of my stuff too if I have time. Like the Alpha cymbals or something.

Double Bass Pedal?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm looking for a good, solid, middle-of-the-line double bass pedal. Any recommendations or ones to avoid? What makes them good or bad?

Go for a Iron Cobra junior if you are below 18, and, erm, a little less than 90 kgs. Jokes apart, try any of the WorldMax pedals: they are really nice. Axis has some entry-level pedals you can try out, too. I use Iron Cobras, but only coz I got 'em as a gift. They're smooth enough, but what I really want is a DW 9000, chain-drive one, sure.

GurS 10-13-2004 02:29 PM

if any one wants me to, i can review the following cymbals:

Paiste Signature 18" Power Crash
Sabain AAX 18" plosion Crash
Paiste 2002 24" China
Sabian Pro 20" Rock Ride

bobby__johnny 10-14-2004 07:57 PM

I Have a Yamaha DTXpress III review in the works.

wicked_beatz 10-16-2004 11:19 AM

"I'm looking for a good, solid, middle-of-the-line double bass pedal. Any recommendations or ones to avoid? What makes them good or bad?"

Dude, save up some dough, and go for the DW-9000, or the 5000, chain-drive, ANY **** TIME. They're the ones who brought in the free-floating ball-bearing system, and that is one mother!! I've tried the Iron Cobras too, and it's also very smooth: but that would always be a second choice to DWs.
Happy playing. Rhythm heals.

Der Meister 10-23-2004 04:05 PM

hey, most of you might not of heard of it but i was wondering if someone who has played/owns a big dog E1 pedal, it supossedly plays like an Iron Cobra but is half the price, would do a review.

Manuel_bauwens 11-05-2004 02:16 PM

Hello all! I'm a beginner and for neighboor resons I only can get an electronic drumset...
Now I wanted to buy the Roland TD 6 VK but some people from a store here told me the Yamaha DTXpress III, where bobby__johnny made a review on, is better!

I'm just new at all of this so I don't know where to judge on, but isn't there somewhere a comparing review or at least a review on that Roland?

Any help would be great!

bobby__johnny 11-05-2004 02:50 PM

i'm working on a review for the DTXtreme IIS by Yamaha....i can tell you this much right now - It beats the DTXpress III without even trying.

Zildjian ZBT cymbal pack from musiciansfriend for $200 - (crash, ride, hats, china)

Worth buying? What's the sound like and is it better or worse than other Zildjian cymbals?

bobby__johnny 11-06-2004 07:36 AM

wrong thread. and i'll just say this about the ZBTs. you get what you pay for.
I want to see reviews of sonor drum kits and A zildjian cymbals but the reviews should compare the products to other products of the same level.
For me, there is no better cymbal brand than Zildjian. I reckon they're the best, but they are expensive, if you live in the US, i know a site where you can get them cheaply, or on the other hand, good value for money makes are: Headliner, MCS and AA. Hope this is helpful to you!

Having used both, I'd say it is down to personal preference. Personally I would favour the Tama Iron Cobra, which is what I use now, but try them both out and then pick the one you prefer, they are both really good! However, try and avoid belts if you can and go for chains, because I find that belts damage easier.

Latouffe 11-27-2004 01:34 PM

i know someone wrote a review of the dtxpress II but i'd like to know how much is worth a second hand one in good condition with a dtextreme snare added(mesh)

and for the iron cobra double pedal they're the best i've tried but i didn't tried alot of other models... i

Mapex M kits are the best in that price range IMO,

fusion sizes = 10",12" and 14" toms
rock sizes = 12",13" and 16" floor tom
