Yeah, I figured I'd save you the trouble. |
I love everything pre 04. And everyone else better love everything pre 04 or they're not coming.
|
I've startetd to enjoy Vivida Vis.
|
So I read on their site that Cancer Bats and Dirty Tricks are opening on Oct.1.
Haven't heard of Dirty Tricks, but their songs on myspace don't sound bad. Never got into Cancer Bats (only heard a few songs) but that got one more friend of mine into going. |
Cancer Bats are awful.

|
i dont know either of them but i forgot my tickets at home when i came back to school so now i probably have to drive 2 hours home to get the tickets and then an hour back to the show...
|

I know a guy who likes them, but he's really untrustworthy and probably wouldn't even show up. I'm so excited for tonight though! |
Going on Tour with World/Inferno and Sage Francis soon. I'm considering going, but since it's not very close to where I live... eh.
|
I'm definitely gonna go. It'll be a great show. November 16, whoop whoop!
|
I'm going to the Chicago date. I've never seen Against Me! live.
|
Just got back from the Toronto show. It was awesome.
Man I'm tired. |
My friend asked me the other day to burn him a cd of Against Me!'s best stuff.
So I burned a bunch of the old stuff (basically anything pre-SFAFC, plus the singles from New Wave at his request), and he told me he couldn't stand any of it. So now he just wants me to burn him New Wave. :( /is disappointed in friend. |
Just say "no" to burning music you don't like.
|
dude how'd you get home so fast? we got stuck behind a cop and two city trucks doing like 20k down the 404 to take down construction signs, they had the whole highway blocked off behind them, it made me angrier than anything ever.
the redeeming factor is the show was pretty f'ucking awesome. took them forever to start cause the stupid techy couldn't make toms equipment work and fiddled for like a half hour then they came out and it still didn't work, tom spent like 30 seconds on it and bang. lesson learned? set your own **** up... also for some anarchists who hope 'their songs never make on fu'cking dollar' they had a reaaaally nice tour bus and all brand new equipment. no acoustics, mostly new stuff but it was way better live than the album versions of everything, glad i went etc etc would go again. |
Yeah it did take forever for them to start. I was expecting a lot of New Wave but it sounds a lot better live than on record so its okay. Only thing that would have been better is if they maybe played a different song other than Borne on the FM Waves but right after it they kicked into Reinventing so it was all good.
|
Stop! is 37892 times better live.
And they closed with Baby, I'm an Anarchist! |
yea that was super sick. i really thought the encore would be acoustic though... i love his rickenbacker.
Why do all good bands progress in such similar ways.
Rough likable debut LP --> More refined but still rough and awesome sophomore --> Overproduced and influenced by weird genres like reggae and other stuff third LP --> 'major label' type debut which is super over produced but still has good songs
if this is what you meant, it means they get better at what they do - songwriting and playing. in doing so, they build a fan base through the first few, somebody on top see's this and decides they can make money on them. it seems to be the way of pretty much of every band. |
Also, I was very pissed off that they didn't bring ANY vinyl.
|
Last time I saw them all they had on vinyl was New Wave and the live album I think.
and TSR was awesome as the first encore song yesterday. |
Hmm, last time I saw them (in march) they had almost every album there. Guess I'll have to check out eBay.
|
its really creepy how you posted at EXACTLY 235... the EXACT time we get out of school..
but oh yeah the reason i came in here, did you go to the tshirt place? |

but oh yeah the reason i came in here, did you go to the tshirt place?
I didn't go to school today. And no, I didn't go. Turns out that the Exploding Hearts families like to sue people who make bootleg shirts and sell them and stuff. So I'm only going to make one. |
thats lame... i want to make more shirts, but im too cheap to pay unless i get a good deal
|
when i went to the merch table all they had left was new wave and three small or medium sized thrash unreal shirts.
