Meatplow 08-27-2010 04:23 PM

it's on my list

Txus 08-27-2010 04:34 PM

I feel like you never download my recs :( haha

Meatplow 08-27-2010 04:54 PM

I do

I just have barely any time to listen to music nowadays :( still having a big list of recs is nice, I guess...

Ventriloquist 08-28-2010 03:48 AM
Oh yeah, what is that album called? I've just started to get into Melvins. My friend (the one with Aphex Twin) transferred "Stag", "Nude with Boots", "Houdini" (and that live edition) and "Stoner Witch" to my ipod a week ago, and I've just bought Houdini on cd.
They kick ass.

Here's Black Star, if you want to hear it: http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/s/Black+Star/2VPbZg
If you don't listen to Melvins - Bullhead you might as well just not listen to them at all.

Meatplow 08-28-2010 06:41 AM

I don't listen to any Melvins

I made this utilizing a fan, a piano, and hitting a gatorade bottle full of ice with a plastic spoon.

Well and audacity too.

Meatplow 08-28-2010 07:55 PM

That was some good dark ambient, Mappy.

Meatplow 08-28-2010 11:16 PM

from the J.G.Thirlwell Facebook page. "Regrettably the release date on HIDE has been put back to later in September due to a printing error on the digipacks. All the sleeves have had to be destroyed and we are printing a new batch. We will let you know as soon as we know more. We are sad not to make the September 1st release date for all its symbolic reaso...ns. Thanks for your patience and it we assure you it will be worth the wait. More soon....."

RouteOne 08-29-2010 03:41 PM

I hear good things about Violator

sadly, a band I have thoroughly neglected. Personal Jesus is a great song though

magnuminium 08-30-2010 01:39 AM

Does Strapping Young Lad count?
Does Strapping Young Lad count? I'm not really well versed in this type of music at all.
No, not really. Besides the big bass drops and keyboards.. No. Although Devin Townsend does do some weird shit on his own..
more experimental than industrial though.

Meatplow 08-30-2010 01:43 AM

thanks for that, lol

City was pretty highly influenced by Foetus I hear. don't really care much for it

Meatplow 08-31-2010 08:29 AM

Murdererer 09-01-2010 09:47 PM

Ventriloquist 09-02-2010 08:14 AM
What is a good Depeche Mode album to start off with?
well there is the "old" depeche mode and the "new". You've probably heard the new stuff a lot on the radio etc. If you want those stuff get Violator and Playing the Angel. If you want the old synth poppy stuff get A Broken Frame and/or Some Great Reward.

Meatplow 09-03-2010 08:34 PM

Not bad, Chris. I prefer that side of Skinny Puppy than the stuff I am accustomed to.
