The Cure For Guitar Player's Nagging Wife!!!!

Just made this post looking at book reviews in the community section and had to post it here..

So I've been reading these posts and I had to share something that I still can't believe. So my wife is always (in a nice way) on my back about the time I spend as a musician. Seems like the better you do in life the more they think it's silly. Nothing out of the ordinary just ya know how it is.. So my mother thought I would like that new Billy Ray Cyrus movie Flying By and buys it for me somewhere. Last thing I would ever buy. did I say EVER?

So of course she watches our 22 month old 3 days a week and always spends at least on night usually Wed at the house. Needless to say we all get stuck watching this movie. Not the worst movie I've ever seen and Heather Locklear looks hot still nice to know. Anyway this thing is all about this guy gettting the watered down second chance at playing in a band and Heather is a beeeooch to him etc. The interesting part is some of the cast are wicked good actors and the females totally carry this movie.

So here's the kicker... Something about that stupid movie has stopped my wifes attitude cold and that was two months ago and still going strong. My wife is no dummy so needless to say I'm shocked. Gave it to my brother who plays the drums and has the same issue as I do with his wife. Guess what problem solved and his wife is horrible. Somehting about this goofy movie just shuts'em up. Problem soved.... Go figure... Here's a link to thier movie site.. I would seriously order it. http://CyrusNewMovie.com

Still embarrased slightly that I am posting about this but I just gotta.

For Sale:

Fender Mexi 72 custom Tele. Black.

Single coil in the bridge upgraded to a Seymour Duncan Quater Pounder (installed professionally), neck is standard Wide Range Humbucker. Used/gigged but very well looked after; always in a hard case and never thrown about. Minimal cosmetic damage, probably just the usual bit of scratches on the back where your belt is.

Got a really powerful tone with the SD Quarter Pounder, even more so than the Jag my guitarist has with the same pickup in the bridge.

Looking for £400 inc. hardcase.

Any questions/pic requests just ask. UK only sorry.

mnemonic 10-01-2009 01:13 PM

Sad But True 10-01-2009 02:42 PM

That joke would be great if it was my Telecaster.

i have a levys zebra print guitar strap, kinda of a velvet material, i looked online and could find the one i have. i paid like 55$ for it. metal logo, veerrry durable strap and looks brand new. i bought it about a year ago, and its been on the guitar for the past 8months in the case, so it hasnt hardly been used. make me an offer?

i also have a boss blues driver. i got it used but never used it (it came free with something else i bought). 40$? i dunno prices are pretty negotiable, these things are just sittin around.

Sad But True 11-22-2009 06:44 PM

Selling my Samson S Gate-4. 4 Channel rack mount noise gate/ducker/whatever. I bought it when I was running a bi-amp setup, but not it just sits in my rack doing nothing.

It's great for eliminating pedal hiss/noise (which was what i used to use it for), really good, responsive controls.

Pickup in person would probably be better seeing as postage would be expensive. I live in the NW of England. If you're interested, message me with any questions.
Cheers,

Perfectly working and in excellent condition.
Everything included. Box, instruction booklet, and the power supply (which usually has to be bought separately and costs around £20).

For details read here.

I was after this thing for absolutely ages. I did so much research on delays in this price range and finally made a decision on this, which I didn't regret. It's a delay pedal, looper and so much more.
Only selling because I needed a delay with a dedicated tap tempo and different presets for use with my band, which then went on hiatus so as such this is just being sat unused.

Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Older (non quick change connector) set of EMGs. I believe they are 85/S or SA/and some weird slightly smaller emg which may be for a tele :S. They sound good anyway and are nice and versatile. Wiring is quite tatty in some places and will need re-soldering as 1 or 2 wires have come loose. The pickups show a little bit of age (groove marks from strings and emg logos have faded a bit)
Modifications (if any): n/a
Accessories: all pots and connections included.

I'm offering quality patch cables made of high quality components at a very reasonable price. My cables are made using GLS Pancake Style Plugs and your choice of Evidence Audio Monorail or Evidence Audio Melody cable made to custom lengths of your choice. Cable pricing is straightforward as follows :

Evidence Audio Melody

-Up to 6" - $8
-7" to 12" - $9
-13" to 24" - $11

The length of the cable can be requested as presoldered length or presoldered length + .5" to account for the soldered portions of the cable.

Also available is longer length guitar cables using the same cables as listed above and straight Neutrik Plugs. Prices are as follows :

Evidence Audio Melody Price Per Foot : $4.50

If interested without any additional questions leave me your email with the following :

Method of Payment (Paypal or Money Order)
Additional .5" or not

Shipping is a flat rate of $6 for patch cable orders and $10 for any order with a 3'+ cable and paypal fees are additional should you use that method of payment, though money order is fine with me as well (international welcome but additional postage cost is required)

IF USING PAYPAL PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR HANDLE ON HERE AS WELL AS THE LENGTHS AND QUANTITIES IN THE COMMENTS BOX FOR THE SAKE OF ORGANIZATION.

Here are some pictures of some mogami cables I made for a forumite on here as well as my own personal pedalboard wired with monorail.

Cable brand is all about personal preference so I won't try and sway anyone either way as they both are great but as shown in the last picture the Monorail is a bit thinner allowing for closer orientation of pedals and sounds better to me. Now is as good a time as ever to upgrade your cables as you'd be hard pressed to find anything of this quality at a similar price.

NOTE TO ALL THAT PURCHASED EA CABLE, ONE END WILL BE MARKED INDICATING THE GUITAR END OF THE CABLE

PM me with any questions, thanks.

Also expect to see a few shots of boards I've wired up in the coming weeks as I'm doing a few local guys' boards

If you would like any other combination of options not offered then please feel free to leave your email and I can quote you for what it would cost.

srsly?

surely it can't matter which way around its plugged in, i mean its a wire.

It doesn't matter at patch cable lengths, but it makes sense to only connect the shielding at one end for longer, high quality cables.
