Ted knows where it's at, aside from the fact that After Forever's newest album is their best IMO.

Nightwish is great too if you want female vocals.

Even though calling them metal now is a stretch, The Gathering are another great band fronted by a chick.

Stream of Passion and Elfonia are quite good too. Same singer, different songwriters.

And if you want female vocals offset by growls, aside from nearly every gothic band coming out of Europe, Draconian are sweet.

Yep...although I still say that Tristania's "Beyond the Veil" was the best out of that scene.

Alas was a great project w/ the guitarist from Morbid Angel.

Giant Squid is a pretty cool indie metal band with male+female singers.

Therion has full choirs, male+female, although alot of the leads were done by females so that counts.

I'm guessing you already knew this one, but if not: iwrestledabearonce.

You can't understand anything she says ever, but she has a pretty voice.
