the quality is shitty, but laura is smokin in that video

and iwrestledabearonce?

myhigherpie 08-17-2008 03:50 AM

well if you're looking for a good metal band with a female singer that doesnt have harsh vocals, then you're out of luck.

only ones I know are light this city and arch enemy.

light this city are like at the gates.

arch enemy is just awesome. Of course... u could try japanese metalcore band maximum the hormone. The drummer chick sings sometimes... its all in japanese though and can get pretty awkward (their a strange band... their music is... different)

Saw them live as a side act for Log (Devildriver too btw, which was cool), and they didn't do much for me. Singer reminded me of Heidi btw lol. XD
Heidi?
Sorry, I'm European. I didn't mean Heidi Klum anyway. I meant the jodelling girl atop of the mountains (or something like that).

Hmm. Some people doing as the thread asks and naming female-led bands; some others naming bands who don't actually have females at all, and some people posting completely obselete threads dictating who is crap/who is decent. As usual it's a case of separating the babble from the substance.

Another band that I recently discovered might be of interest - Forced Out Vision. I first heard these guys a couple of nights ago and was extremely shocked to hear that they're a local band *and* they're only 16, the bunch of them. They're actually still at the stage of playing Battle of the Bands gigs in local bars - hardly any exposure at all yet but they will be going far.

Any problems finding their stuff, PM me and I'll see what I can sort out for you.

Pete 08-18-2008 04:11 PM

Circle Takes the Square has one female vocalist right

Meg from F'uck the Facts is the best female vocalist though

Deth 08-18-2008 04:16 PM

More importantly, bands with female bass players: BOLT THROWER

Pete 08-18-2008 04:18 PM
