Some girl said that when I stare at a beautiful body of water I don't notice the sound of the waves crashing because I'm too distracted by the sounds of cars on the freeway miles away

metaphorically

idk, it was almost as relevant as what you said.

Meatplow 09-02-2009 01:31 AM

i'm actually contemplating that quite heavily

a few more industrial releases i've gotten recently -

SMP - Stalemate
Kevorkian Death Cycle - Collection For Injection
16 Volt - SCN V2.0
Project Pitchfork - IO

Jaundice 09-02-2009 01:34 AM

I recently downloaded Pandemonium by Killing Joke.

Supposedly it's like revolutionary post-punk influenced industrial rock.

Meatplow 09-02-2009 01:35 AM

I have their self-titled, I really should listen to it.

Jaundice 09-02-2009 01:38 AM

Is that their debut, or something later on?

I tried giving the debut a spin once and it was pretty annoying. It was like pre-post-punk if that makes any sense.

Meatplow 09-02-2009 01:42 AM

their 1980 release, not sure but I think so

while we are on the post punk side of thing PiL is making me very depressed

Jaundice 09-02-2009 01:46 AM

yeah it was the 1980 release, I could be wrong but I remember having to put something else on like two songs into it

I've yet to listen to PiL. Or Jesus and Mary Chain, for that matter.

pretty cool old school Foetus interview and performance of Descent Into The Inferno, its like bad karaoke. :)
lol

Well to be honest Murial, *takes sunglasses off theatrically* a woman's place is on my face

Meatplow 09-02-2009 02:00 AM

haha yeah i've been quoting that to myself most of the day actually, it makes me smile

Jaundice 09-02-2009 02:04 AM

It was a surprising show of personality.

Also, a chance for me to see his fairly fantastic guyliner.

FatalEnergy 09-02-2009 02:08 AM

Anyone heard of Hint?

Meatplow 09-02-2009 02:13 AM

I have now. Worth checking out?

FatalEnergy 09-02-2009 02:15 AM

Yeah, the one from France.

Check out 100% White Puzzle. There's so many influences within it.

It's impressive.

Meatplow 09-02-2009 02:19 AM

will do, thanks

Meatplow 09-02-2009 03:53 AM

why do autechre albums feel so long

Jaundice 09-02-2009 10:20 AM

because they're outrageously long

Meatplow 09-02-2009 07:21 PM

I liked Chiastic Slide though a lot of people seem to think their work started to get really weak after Tri Repetae. I've heard good things about LP5 as well.

I could use some Squarepusher.

Meatplow 09-04-2009 09:58 PM

Scratch Acid is not bad.

Nostalgia 09-06-2009 10:08 AM

Nurse With Wound is so ridiculously terrible, lol @ people pretending to enjoy it.

Meatplow 09-06-2009 05:23 PM

!

I genuinely liked Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella.

or pretended to, have it your way

illmitch 09-06-2009 05:47 PM

does anybody genuinely like whitehouse

Meatplow 09-06-2009 07:08 PM

I like Great White Death, but I have to admit I have a penchant for terrible noise music with lyrics about rape. I think its pretty good as far as power electronics go, I hear their later stuff gets worse but I haven't checked it out yet.

Jaundice 09-06-2009 07:09 PM

i heard one song by them and it was bull ****

voodoochile 09-06-2009 07:10 PM

I like the swans! Not heard the rest of these bands though. Except skinny puppy.

Meatplow 09-06-2009 07:12 PM

Filth is awesome.
i heard one song by them and it was bull ****
Nostalgia 09-06-2009 10:21 PM
or pretended to, have it your way
Meatplow 09-07-2009 12:16 AM
yeah thats right
i'm planning to expand my power electronics/noise collection if anyone has any off the wall releases they wish to share

FatalEnergy 09-07-2009 12:23 AM

Every time I come into this thread I find something new that I like.

Nurse With Wound is great by the way.

Aaron 09-07-2009 12:27 AM
