the best glam rock band was motley crue. and they weren't very good.

Motley crue..i liked Kickstart my heart, havent heard much else.

Wouldnt Kiss qualify as a glam band? :confused: dunno.

Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Kiss, Def Leppard... They're a yes for me. Else than that, Im not a big fan.

Trash-era Alice Cooper blows goats, that part of his career really sucks.
I saw The Dogs D'Amour open for Alice in 2002, they sucked.
I also saw The Renegade Playboys open for Dragonforce last year, they sucked and looked like they were trying really hard to be cool.

They're weren't suited for the NEC at all.

Glam, on the most part is poo.
The more it tries to be inventive, the more it goes back on itself.
Hanoi Rocks being at least a decent Glam Rock band, and some others, Motley Crue, for example, being an absolute abysmal piece of poo.

At least they were decadent poo :mad:

I like Motley Crue. I read their autobiography, "The Dirt"..some crazy stuff in there...I'm actually looking forward to the film now. Anyway, I got tickets for one of the September shows...should be a good show.

And as a Wildhearts fan, I'm kind of obliged to like the Dogs D'Amour (along with Tyla and any associated projects), but I don't actually own anything by them.

Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, David Bowie, New York Dolls, Queen, Twisted Sister, Lou Reed (to an extent)...ah yes, glam is good.

I like Twisted Sister though.

This is true. I bought The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars yesterday :thumb:

I'm really into Hanoi Rocks at the time so in my opinion they are the best glam band. But I don't like their new CD.

Guns N' Roses is NOT glam rock. I just wanted to add that...hehe
