yeah ive only really listened to their first 4 albums, but never a lot at once. now i got the rest of the Ozzy-era albums, a few Dio ones, and a couple with the other guy and its been fun listening to the different sounds of BS
also been listening to a lot of Iron Maiden, which continues now with this one: |
ugh such a poor Maiden album

I went through their earlier stuff chronologically and lost interest around Technical Ecstacy/Never Say Die era Ozzy, for some reason completely discarding the notion they could continue to do well with another singer (this was a pretty bad idea).
It took me ages to listen to Heaven and Hell and I still haven't looked past it, apart from hearing snippits of their later career in the second part of the Black Sabbath story which altogether didn't sound that bad at all. I've been meaning to go through their later albums. |
They have a bunch of great post-Dio stuff too
don't discriminate! |

Get Tyr and Headless Cross too

For sure, it took me a couple of weeks of solid listening for it to click. You should check out Genocide Organ's :Leichenlinie:, its less vocal orientated but just as hypnotising and immersive. Let me know if you want it and have trouble finding it. 12. PJ Harvey - [? #13] C'mon Billy |
