12-string hamer acoustic/electric bass w/ a p-pup in the soundhole and a humbucker at the bridge. also has a large cutaway for access at the upper frets, rare for an acoustic.

That one on eBay does look very nice and I bet it sounds glorious but the Hamer 12 is outrageous! How's that thing tuned? EeeAaaDddGgg? That's crazy! :eek:

The Hamer does indeed have EMG pickups. Not a bad thing, I might add.

yeah that hamer has the craziest combination of features in one bass ive ever seen. but seriously who the f*ck plays a 12-string acoustic bass?

Nope. I'm not sure if he does, but it says in the booklet for Ten he uses a 12 string. So it's more of a guess...

If he's willing to use a standard one, then perhaps he'd use an acoustic one.

yeah good point. i know dUg pinnick from King's X uses 12-string basses. and he's a lefty too!

i played on of those the other day,
it was better than sex,
it was like $5,250 USD at the place i played it at, so i put it back because it hurt to much.
