A good album, despite the poor production. My favourite black metal-era Ulver album has to be [I]Bergtatt[/I] though, the atmosphere on that album is immense. I still prefer their more experimental stuff from the 00's.

Drudkh are amazing as well, especially their first album [I]Forgotten Legends[/I].

- mayhem
- old bathory, old venom etc.
- martyrdöd
- naglfar (sweden)
- angelcorpse (black/death)
- destroyer 666 (black/thrash)
- revenge (newest band ive discovered... that was like a few years ago)

I know there are a ton of awesome bands I dont know about. Dont name shit like MArduk/Dark Funeral.... its alright but those bands are dime a dozen

Liking Norwegian Black Metal is pretty hipsterish.
