Nostalgia 09-26-2007 06:45 PM

Oh come on, you told me you liked them.

Niflheim 09-26-2007 06:45 PM

Good one

Nostalgia 09-26-2007 06:49 PM

So I'm downloading some xsuicidex blook metal right now. See if it's worth a damn.

Nocturnal Depression, by the way.
This is the black metal thread, **** off Rivendell.
thats the one i said i wouldn't check out. sounds too fruity.
my friend wants to know since there are so many LOTR influenced bands if there is one called Frodo.

RiceMonster 09-26-2007 06:53 PM
Nocturnal Depression, by the way.
I'll some it up for you:
-Average music, with a pretty good riff here and there
-Worst/gayest lyrics and song titles ever
-Horrid drum sound

Here's some advice, none of it is ever worth it.

Nostalgia 09-26-2007 06:54 PM

Well I know that. Though I've yet to find a great black metal band in the last 3 months, so I'm willing to try whatever.

I believe this if the lyricist who wrote lyrics for Nostalgie did their lyrics, too.

Niflheim 09-26-2007 06:55 PM

Why look to that kind of garbage if you want "great" black metal?

Nostalgia 09-26-2007 06:55 PM

How 'bout I ****ing shoot you.

Tyler 09-26-2007 06:55 PM

because austin is a ****ing wiggerjew

Niflheim 09-26-2007 07:00 PM

Lifelover clearly has the gayest lyrics in metal.

The whiskey bottle's almost empty
as well as the pack of smokes
Been awake for several days now,
haunted by the memories

My heart has become colder than this room,
long time since I felt joy or happiness
All of the roses you planted have lost
their touch and faded away

Thinking back on the good times we had,
when we would laugh
The wind blew in your hair as we
drove across the country

Not even all of the world's whores
can satisfy me anymore
I've lost the spark and light,
nothing to hold close to my heart

I keep staring at the chromed .45,
lying on the living room table
A moment of silence...

Extremely pathetic and an embarrassment to everything related to black metal. Most of this depressive stuff is on par with the shitty emo lyrics eleventeen posts.

Nostalgia 09-26-2007 07:02 PM

Well they're Swedish, so that already raises a red flag.

You read early CF lyrics? Specifically Journey through the Cold Moors. They're ace.

Angmar 09-26-2007 07:03 PM

Xasthur has the funniest song titles ever.

Beauty Is Only Razor Deep

Trauma Will Always Linger

They sound like they are off a Hawthorne Heights album

Dargon 09-26-2007 07:06 PM

   at all emo "black metal"

was that an actual "black metal" band? i have a hard time seeing how any band with those lyrics would advertise themselves as black metal.

It is gay black rock band with members from the leaders of the ultra trendy depressive scene in Sweden.

RiceMonster 09-26-2007 07:15 PM

Lifelover rulez the suicide

I've actually never heard them. Their name made them sound so ridiculously gay, so I didn't even look into them.

Angmar 09-26-2007 07:17 PM

You actually saw Xasthur live? That hilarious, how did you get into that?

Niflheim 09-26-2007 07:18 PM

Ive only heard them through myspace and one song is enough to know they are complete faggots if you had doubts before.

RiceMonster 09-26-2007 07:18 PM

I think he meant Hawthorne Heights

edit: @ Angmar

Nostalgia 09-26-2007 07:19 PM

yeah everyone point and laugh.

OIC, I just have heard that Maelfic has done Xasthur live shows and assumed he was speaking of him.

rattlehead42147 09-26-2007 07:21 PM

@rice
well starting with the bandname they ****ed up big time.
You actually saw Xasthur live? That hilarious, how did you get into that?
i figured someone was going to ask me that. no i hate xasthur too. it was HH along with a lot of other shitty bands. but xasthur doesn't do live shows as far as i know except for their tour with sunn o))). and malefic came out in a wheelchair, which pissed me off. theres clips on youtube.

theres a concert over where i live where the mainstream new rock bands play, i got a free ticket so i went. HH rocked my world though! :)

Angmar 09-26-2007 07:27 PM

 A wheelchar?

Link me up, I gotta see that.

Stormrider 09-26-2007 07:28 PM

Havohej was pretty good. Weeping in Heaven was the best song.

Niflheim 09-26-2007 07:29 PM

That was originally a Profanatica song I believe

RiceMonster 09-26-2007 07:30 PM

Malefic is a fag. I hate his vocals in Sunn O))). Ruins it.

Stormrider 09-26-2007 07:30 PM
That was originally a Profanatica song I believe
Most of them on the full length were, I think.

"Because the Profanatica full-length album was not finished, Paul Ledney recorded
some of the tracks from that album (and a few new tracks) and then released them as "Dethrone the Son of God"."
