yeah but what's the fun in that? :p

Sablate McNuff 03-22-2009 03:46 AM

F**k buying in bulk.

I like going to the bar and ordering 30 shots of vodka for $200 when I could drink better vodka (and more of it) for $50.

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 09:33 AM

Word up.

Sablate McNuff 03-22-2009 10:10 AM

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 10:12 AM

Yo yo yo.

Did you end up listening to the new songs on the H myspace?

Gattsu347 03-22-2009 10:27 AM

how was the show spiff

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 10:34 AM
how was the show spiff
Man, it was awesome. We brought out about 40 people or so, I don't know the exact number. It seemed like at least that many were there.

We totally ripped the set, though. We had a lot of people telling us that they'll definitely come out to our next show, too. We got rid of 10 or 12 copies of our album.

And at the end of the show as were turning off our amps and such, the crowd was wildly applauding and at least one person was calling for an encore. We didn't have time, unfortunately, for any more songs.

We got the whole set filmed, so I'll put it all up on youtube as soon as possible. It was a 13 song set, we were up there for about an hour. It was sweet.

That will be happening right now as it gets me away from my homework.

I'm looking to buy a digital camera and I don't want to spend more than $150 on it. Suggestions?

I really need to take some new bass pics.

Gattsu347 03-22-2009 10:37 AM

thats ****ing dope!

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 10:38 AM
thats ****ing dope!
Two of the people that we gave albums to (that really wanted them) were the sound guy at the venue as well as the guy that booked the show.

The guy that booked the show has already offered us more shows.

Sablate McNuff 03-22-2009 10:42 AM

I like "expansion through familiarity," and I dig the music from "two minutes hate," but I'm still not sure of your vocalist/bassist. It's hard for me to listen to him sing sometimes.

Two Minutes Hate is the drummer singing the verses and our other friend doing the chorus.

I know sometimes his vocals aren't so good (chorus of Pillosophy is one of those), but I never really find it distracting. Sure, it would be better with better vocals, but I usually don't find bad singing to take away from the music.

Gattsu347 03-22-2009 10:48 AM

it's cause he's canadian.

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 10:53 AM
it's cause he's canadian.
He uses "aboot" and "eh" way too much in his lyrics.

Gattsu347 03-22-2009 10:58 AM

i watch all 7 seasons of the trailer park boys in a month once and i was saying aboot without even noticing. i'd be talking and suddenly the person im talking to is laugh and im like wtf mang? and they're like you sound canadian

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 11:01 AM

I never notice anyone on that show say aboot. And I've seen them all.

"She doesn't have to know, and whatever Lucy don't know won't learn her."

Gattsu347 03-22-2009 11:07 AM

haha, dude they say it all the time, you dont notice cause your a dirty canadian like them.

"And then Ray's over there throwin piss jugs every where, he's gotta have at least 50 of em layin around the camper."

i love bubbles. layhee and Randy are classic too.
http://www.myspace.com/capitalaitch
Expansion through Familiarity and Unholy Braindouche were mad cool. The rest I dunno about, when you guys play slow and your singer is singing....I dunno...

I highly highly recommend you give your singer a copy of Shellac's Terraform album because he needs to learn how to make the monotone work. I mean, I have no problem with monotone vocals, but he has such a lack of *** behind it and it doesn't sound like it's on purpose.

Just my 2 cents take it as you will and keep up the good work

Spaceman Spiff 03-22-2009 05:56 PM

The vocals were written for a singer that could sing. We couldn't find one and we weren't going to leave our album unfinished for an indefinite amount of time. That's about all I can say.

Personally, bad singing has never been something that ruins songs for me. I'm not trying to defend the vocals and say they're something that they're not, it just doesn't ruin my listening experience.

man i wish i had that ability. i don't care how good a band is, if their singer sucks, i can't listen to them... usually.

Cramboli 03-22-2009 10:33 PM

Yeah it does most of the time depending on the genre like if it's just straight up metal and there's poor singing I'll pass it up but some lighter tunes though I can usually phase out the vocalist...

Anyone know anything about Canadian tax returns?

I worked for an employer from December 21st until the end of February. Should I have received a T4?

I should point out that I didn't recieve my first pay check from them until January 15th.

burtonbassist_102 03-23-2009 01:43 AM

If it's anything like American taxes, you should not have to file this year because you were not paid in the year 2008.

funkyhoney 03-23-2009 07:48 AM
