Let's reminisce about bands that were fucking awesome, then over the course of time went to shit.

Eighteen Visions

Now you can see how they went from a super fucking heavy brutal hardcore band to scenie weenies who weren't ALL THAT BAD to ripping off bad music that were essentially recycled Stone Temple Pilots riffs.

Architects went from really badass tech metalcore to a c-rate Alexisonfire rip-off in a couple of years:

Probably the biggest let down ever.

cbk? yeah... that band meant a lot to me and a lot of my friends growing up, and they just kind of ran out of steam.

Exhibit 3

Earth Crisis were the torch bearers of vegan straight edge hardcore, which was like the scene metalcore of the mid-90s due to it's popularity (ExC made it all the way to CNN due to their politics), but decided to do like a good amount of bands at the time and give nu-metal a try, and well it was a let down.

comeback kid without scott wade is just figure four only secular


but that still sucks

Slayer- Listen to Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood and then try listening to their last couple

Morbid Angel- last album was just fucking horrible

slayer, isn't shit now. world painted blood and christ illusion are still solid albums for a band going on 30 years old.

AFI after Sing The Sorrow sucked. Most people didn't even like that, but I did.

I love sing the sorrow. decemberunderground honestly has a couple pretty decent songs on it too

only AFI i'll ever listen to now is black sails, drowning, all hallows and maybe a couple of songs from their earlier albums (shut your mouth has some cool tracks). used to enjoy sing the sorrow but cannot listen to it anymore, everything after it was awful

i think that Sepultura and From Autumn to Ashes fall under this too. i'll do exhibits on them momentarily.

Blacklisted suffers the same syndrome as Comeback Kid.

blacklisted the first time i saw them was one of the most real hardcore experiences of my life, and last time i saw them i bailed early to go smoke a cig.

i never liked blacklisted :cool:

when you heat them HK? first time i saw them was on the ...And the Beat Goes On tour after the "breakup" and they still played all old shit.

i back the shit out of sounding the seventh trumpet but avenged sevenfold obviously sucks now

a day in black and white released that amazing ep and then put out some real shitty boring album

thursday fell off pretty hard

thursday released their best album in Common Existence!
