Most of our songs thus far lean pretty heavily towards punk (which is kinda tough being in a local music scene where metal and screamo run rampant), but we open ourselves to experimentation with other genres.

I posted this a while ago, and the songs are old as ****. It's a live recording on a 4-track tape recorder using 3 karaoke mics.

Hoping to have new music up soon as well as re-recordings.

Feedbacks.

Wow, I'm actually really digging this stuff.
Vocals are a little iffy at times, but other than that it's pretty raw and badass.
Reminds me a lot of my own guitar playing.

Good stuff.

iamrockzorz 03-30-2009 12:10 AM

haha thanks. The guitar is definitely iffy at times, as we've never done more than two takes. But hopefully this summer will give us some time to work together again

I don't mean to bump a dying thread, but add my band. We're getting back together in a few weeks. The recordings are all awful one-take garbage, but it's fun. We'll hopefully be working with this powerviolence duo (a drummer and a bassist - which are the two instruments we've worked without since the beginning) called Nancy Drew from Pittsburgh. Check them out here:

We'll be putting out an ep maybe by the end of May, and I'll make sure to get that to anyone who wants it. Lemme know what you think. And if you care at all to help me, and you have a myspace, do something as simple as posting a bulletin to your friends to help us get some type of community. We're more of a novelty with some of the friends we have purely because we just get kicked out of wherever we play.

Antillectual euro tour with after the fall

ANTILLECTUAL EURO TOUR WITH AFTER THE FALL

ANTILLECTUAL News Letter September 2009: EURO TOUR WITH AFTER THE FALL

The last couple of months we have been doing some awesome stuff. Playing cool shows at the Fluff fest, Skate fest, and other festivals, doing a tour through Germany, Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic, a tour together with our friends from Rentokill and on top of all that some acoustic shows. Now the future.

- Euro tour October with After the Fall (USA)
- New shirts, acoustic 7” and samplers
- New songs, recordings and other stuff

Euro tour October with After the Fall (USA)
When we toured the USA in 2008 we met up with the friendly guys of After the Fall. An amazing band from Albany, New York in the style of I Spy, Strike Anywhere and Propagandhi. This October we will be touring Europe with them. Please come out and enjoy their tunes, and listen to our new ones while you are there:

Oct 3 Ger Berlin, Lokal
Oct 4 Cz Prague, Klub v Jeleni
Oct 5 Ger Mannheim, JUZ. w/ Landmines
Oct 6 A Wiener Neustadt, Bandhouse
Oct 7 Ger Karlsfeld, Jugendhaus Karlsfeld. w/ Screed, Short Circuit
Oct 8 Swi Zürich, Dynamo
Oct 9 Swi Geneve, Tiki’s Bar
Oct 10 Fr Paris, Le Pix
Oct 11 NL Tilburg, 013. w/ New Pokerface

New shirts, acoustic 7” and samplers
We already announced it on our site, but we have new T-shirts. White! Fair Trade! BIIIG design! And we still have some copies of our acoustic 7” left. Check the site for more info. Recently some of our songs were put on extremely cool samplers such as Pop-punk Loves You #4, the Fair Trade Merchandise sampler, the Still Thinking online sampler and the Kid Dynamite tribute “Carry the Torch”. This last one is finally out and features our version of “Wrist Rocket”. Check Shield Recordings for the double-LP. The other samplers are available through us. Furthermore Shield Recordings will release a label sampler for their 5 year anniversary later this year, featuring a previously unreleased demo song we recorded when we were in the studio for the Kid Dynamite cover.

New songs, recordings and other stuff
Currently we are really busy and actually past halfway writing a new album. We want to release it in 2010. For now we already have a live clip of a new song (“Kraken Gaat Door!”) on our site.

For more news, links to our social networks, our political interests, our personal updates and what not, please check our website www.antillectual.com.

In the next newsletter hopefully some more news about our new recordings and more touring.

Thanks, you made it, friends ‘til the end!
