If you want to play along with the CD it does...

BludgeonySteve 12-12-2007 03:56 PM

About half of all power metal bands, I would guess. Maybe a little more than half.

Aes820 12-12-2007 04:09 PM

Weezer.

And I think a lot of bands who play live using this tuning do so because it's easier to sing to.

redleaf 12-12-2007 04:24 PM

Yea I just wanna jam with some songs in Eb and not have to tune and retune my guitar everytime. Someone said earlier a lot of bands tune flat when live. How come? String slackage, a lil easier to play? Who knows...

I like Eb as well, what I suggest to you, is buying coughcoughdownloadcoughcough a copy of Cool Edit Pro or some recording program, in which you can lower the pitch of songs, so that what you can play any song in Eb...

Thats what I do.

SkaRobotArmy 12-12-2007 05:36 PM

cool edit pro can drop the pitch? thats awesome i've never used that feature before.
weezer is almost always in Eb.
story of my life - social distortion

Scarified or most things by Racer X. Or just play any song that's in standard and it will sound fine, just a half step lower.
