We're a 4-piece, run-of-the-mill, goth-hating, fastcore/powerviolence band. Two vocalists, 1 guitar, 1 drums. We self-released our own demo on tape, and we just finished recording our 9-song demo onto CD. We're getting a 15-track EP pressed to vinyl sometime this winter (hopefully). We pretty much started a powerviolence band in Upstate New York to play with actually good bands for free. [EDIT] Oh, and we only have song-videos up. I'm way too lazy to upload actual songs or write our extensive, failed-attempt-at-being-funny lyrics. Maybe sometime in the near future? Maybe. Oh, and i'm seriously looking for opinions. We've gotten the most mixed reviews ever. Maybe I can pool a decent punX opinion -- good/bad/or completely bashing. All welcome. |
Your band inspires me to write this song
(cue dbeat) Why are we playing a porch, this is weird business we're really far apart someone pass me a guiness Our name is Lando, our drums sound like a wookie, In a band with Cookie Monster, COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE LOL at the hxc guy just chillin in the background playing ping pong. |
Corporation
i got a ska-core (punk/ska) band called Corporation. we're from Brampton/Burlington, Ontario, Canada. along the same sound as Choking Victim, Operation Ivy, Rancid, NOFX, Leftover Crack, etc. We're in the process of recording more songs, so keep checking up if you're interested.

Nice! It was more of like a social gathering at my house -- a few of my friend's bands played too. There were really a lot of kids there, but the s'hitty quality camera-video didn't pick it up. Nice though, thanks! [EDIT] Oh, and we're so far apart because our equiptment is terrible -- we pick up tremendous feedback if we stand within 5 feet of each other. |
www.myspace.com/copoutvbhc last show saturday. we were gay anyway
|
Gay as in pseudo-Gayrilla Biscuits/Nine Inch Males/Black F'ag hardcore? :)
|
yeah, actually we changed our name to cockout
|
Band is called White Minority. Gotta demo up now w/ a Rise Above cover... Singer sounds like the guy from KYI and the band sounds like Black Flag on a bad day... http://www.myspace.com/iwannabeawhiteminority

Despite White Monrity's non racist message, your band and it's logo have such racist connotations that It's almost convincing.
Your band is pretty tight though. |

Oh, I kind of really dislike Skippy Prat. I don't think I've seen him post outside the What're you Listening To thread in the past couple of months.
|
What do you play? You guys really are milking that White Minority thing for all it's worth too haha.
|
hahahahahahahahaha, i've told him that a couple times. He kinda just reads and browses the forums, which might be a good thing :smoke:
EDIT: To flagjacket To Rise Me Up: I play the drums.. |

Speedy loung-core. We are a three-piece out of the land of cheese and beer...sweet home wisconsin. Obviously, with little more to do than drink and tip cows, we spend a lot of time on our music. Check it out, buy a CD if you like. Cheers!

6 Piece ska band from Turlock, CA. We just got two freshly recorded from a really nice quality studio so the songs are sounding amazing. The first two songs on the myspace are the new songs. We've gotten to play with some pretty big bands recently including Fishbone, so it's cool. Add us, comment us, message us. We've got two different shirts for sale too: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/comptonassrobert/skanker.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/comptonassrobert/streetsign.gif and our full 13 song album should be recorded and mixed by mid December. Yayyyyy :) |
if anyone cares about powerviolence or grindcore
hey, I used to post on here like everyday back in like 2003 and ****, i don't know if anyone remembers my old band Blacbloc, I know some people on here used to dig it. Anyways, check out what me and the old bassist from blacbloc are doing.
myspace.com/republicorpse it's grindviolence for the punx! 'fat jake |
Actually in 2003 there were 365 days and you only have 208 posts and it says you joined in January 2002, which gives you over 800 days as a member, which means you posted about once every 4 days.
There's a "Your band" thread. |
Some ace stuff. It's refreshing to hear a nice transition between blast beats/breakdowns. You guys kind of have an XBRAINIAX feel, I just think you guys play your breakdowns slower than XBRAINIAX, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I tend to enjoy the slower breakdowns in Powerviolence because they contrast the blast beat sound heavily. None-the-less, I dig lots. :thumb:
