I have Orchestrated and Conducted on vinyl. It sounds really good.

JonM 08-16-2009 09:38 AM

Saw Lightning Bolt last night. I felt like I was being chased by everything that is wrong with the 21st century. I guess that means I dug it?

Brief Candles - They Live We Sleep

One of the better "nu-gaze" bands out there.

Wanker 08-16-2009 08:27 PM

Been diggin' DeVotchKa-- they sound a lot like Beirut...

I'm also liking Bark Cat Bark- great European instrumental stuff.

the for carnation - s/t and marshmallows

i haven't given this band a good listen in a while.

JonM 08-17-2009 07:16 AM

Me either. I'm pretty sure I discovered them here on mx back in the day.

[presses play]

nedchambers 08-17-2009 09:12 AM

i really like the new Polvo. also, everyone who digs on flylo here should get on Nosaj Thing's Drift, stat.

asdf 08-17-2009 09:42 AM

the for carnation has or had been sitting on my computer forever unlistened. I don't remember which album, but I really don't think I ever listened to more than one song. I should give it another chance.

niobium 08-17-2009 11:14 AM

they are playing here real soon but i am just going to forget about it because i am broke.

Alski 08-18-2009 09:41 PM

Ive been digging Cursive, specifically From The Hips, because I cant get enough of that song. Also John Frusciante and Omar Rodriguez Lopez's solo albums, both of them are parts of my favorite bands of all time, and its amazing to hear what they think up solo.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-18-2009 09:58 PM

big black - songs about ****ing

pixiesfanyo 08-19-2009 03:13 AM
