Looks sweet man. The pickguard looks pretty rad. I'm in the means of getting a SR5 for myself.

I'd post my rig, but it was stolen from me.

rawr, I wanted that guitar for a long time.

What a beautiful and wonderful playing guitar.

iplayanesp 07-16-2007 10:20 AM

yea. its sweet. i got a great deal on it.

o b s 07-16-2007 10:55 AM

I'm more of a fan of single coil pickups on guitars, thats just from playing my friends guitars though, so its not really an accurate cross section (though the guitar with all single coils is the cheapest of them).

iplayanesp 07-16-2007 11:01 AM
though the guitar with all single coils is the cheapest of them
thats not nessicarily true. they just sound diffrent. single coils are more twangy type sounding and dont handle distortion as well as humbuckers and tend to hum.

humbuckers a wound in diffrent directions or summat to eliminate hum and tend to be heavier sounding.

bass&cookies 07-16-2007 11:06 AM

Nice! I don't see very many white ice pickguards, but that one looks pretty good. How does she sound?

DonBass 07-16-2007 11:48 AM

amazing. i cant get over how much better it sounds than my old bass which is an OLP MM2.

Huh? I said I liked the sound of the guitar with single coils best, even though it is the cheapest.

Godin A4, Eden CXC210, Fender Precision Special (The Vantage in the back hardly counts ha)

P.S. Pinhead that precision with the humbucker looks awesome. I'm hoping to do that to mine eventually, or trade it in for a Jazz.

Stingrays are awesome also, but the necks are a bit too fat for my taste.

DonBass 07-16-2007 08:52 PM

Maybe it's because I learned to play on a Stingray knockoff, but 'Ray necks have never felt big to me. No where near a P-bass neck.

blacklungfever 07-18-2007 09:07 PM

you also play a 7 string bass haha.

The bass I learned on is the Vantage leaning against the amp in the back, and its got a pretty thin neck, just a tiny bit bigger than a jazz bass. My Presicion also has a jazz neck, so I guess I'm just used to thinner necks.

Ive always hated anything bigger than 5, but lately Ive been thinking having a 6 would be fun, cause I could do so much different stuff than with just 4.
