Are you just punching your keyboard to make these posts or are these actually real bands?

The Feeding 04-01-2009 10:41 PM

as real as the matrix or god

Zoo 04-01-2009 10:41 PM

All of the above.

Si1v3RfaNg 04-02-2009 06:39 PM

Anybody got some metal thats similar to Dio's Holy Diver album? That I don't know also... I'm in the mode for beastly Dio-like vocals.

Tyler 04-02-2009 06:48 PM

how about you get more dio albums that might work

Si1v3RfaNg 04-02-2009 06:50 PM

i have two of their older albums, one has drem in the name, forgot the other one.

Tyler 04-02-2009 06:52 PM

Si1v3RfaNg 04-02-2009 06:54 PM

EdgeOfSanity 04-02-2009 08:42 PM

Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow
Rainbow - Rising
Rainbow - Long Live Rock N Roll
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Black Sabbath - Mob Rules
Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer
Dio - The Last In Line
Dio - Strange Highways
Dio - Killing the Dragon

publicastration 04-03-2009 08:42 AM

Rainbow - Rising is solid

Tyler 04-03-2009 01:40 PM
Dio - Killing the Dragon
Dio - Master of the Moon
Eh, I think this era is more for legitimate fans only. It's not bad by any stretch, just very safe. But I second most everything else you suggested. Totally forgot about Strange Highways, such an underrated album.

Si1v3RfaNg 04-03-2009 02:15 PM

Whats some good punk? Like the Clash or Sum 41?

Deth 04-03-2009 02:17 PM

Si1v3RfaNg 04-03-2009 02:23 PM

Hey I like them, idk their pop punk metal combination is fun to listen to. And yeah I've heard lots about Propagandhi.

The Feeding 04-03-2009 02:29 PM

Chuck had a lot of thrash in it, and it was a fun listen..

Si1v3RfaNg 04-03-2009 02:36 PM

idk he might like the dead kennedys one.

Tyler 04-03-2009 03:54 PM

Misfits, too, I just dont see the kid liking more 'traditional' or rougher sounding stuff when he gave the Clash and Sum 41 as his guidelines.

publicastration 04-03-2009 03:58 PM

I can see him liking Misfits but Dead Kennedys are pretty raw sounding

btw mappy did you know Carpenter Ant recorded their 7" at nacc's studio

Si1v3RfaNg 04-04-2009 11:45 AM
Nah, but they were ****ing awesome.

And I think Kyle'd like most of those albums.
I liked the Dead Kennedys and a few others, such as the new Propagandhi. Now can someone recommend me the next Opeth album to check out. I thoroughly enjoyed Still Life the whole way through, I like the first two tracks off of Watershed plus the single is alright, and I enjoyed The Leper Affinity, Bleak, and the title track off of Blackwater Park. Thanks in advance for any recs guys. :thumb:

The Feeding 04-04-2009 11:51 AM

Damnation is my fave, Deliverance is damn good. What albums of theirs do you have?

NOOTH 04-05-2009 07:18 PM

What's some exceptional goregrind besides Carcass, General Surgery, and Impaled?

publicastration 04-07-2009 07:19 PM

Regurgitate

Gored

I'd call repulsion goregrind too but you probably already listen to them

Tyler 04-07-2009 07:39 PM
