From which song a beginner can start.
|
metallica. start with load/reload and work your way backwards.
when you finish their first album, you are a medium to decent guitar player. |
try manson songs they are easy
|
I can't help but share the joy of one of my favorite first songs that I learned on bass: Rancid's "Salvation." Very gratifying, and it isn't too hard for beginners.
|
no doubt- its my life
|
longview by green day
|
Mama by My Chemical Romance.
Epic, and fun to play. |
Metallica-For whom the bell tolls is pretty simple
:thumb: |
actually one of the first songs i learned by metallica on the bass was seek and destroy.
i would also recommend the master of puppets main riff. even if you don't learn the whole song, the main riff is a GREAT finger exercise. |
Isn't there just a book to get that has songs that every up and coming bassist should learn. Cause I can read Tab, but what am I gonna do when I finish the fast track books?
|
This is a little advanced, but one of the more easy 'solo bass' pieces to learn; Power by Marcus Miller is IMO one of the quintessential pieces to learn as a bassist. Not for beginners, but once you're ready you should try tackle it bit by bit.
|
Big Wig - falling down
if your cool, you can learn the guitar part as well. |
dunno if it's been said yet but
Beatles: All My Loving is incredibly easy (but a lot of early Beatles stuff is) And Guns N Roses: Sweet Child of Mine (long, but I found it easy at least) |
Here are a few songs and their tabs
The first song is Blink 182- First date
http://www.play-bass.com/blink_182_first_date_bass_tab.html The second is Warning - Green Day http://www.play-bass.com/warning_green_day_bass_tab.html The third is Seven Nation Army -White Stripes http://www.play-bass.com/white_stripes_seven_nation_army_bass_tab.html Hope these help |
the killers - mr. brightside
ladyfinger (ne) - little things the fashion - solo impala |
rhcp - parallel universe - moderate - easy bassline but its in 16 notes, play with your fingers to build up great endurance and speed.
yeah it is quite simple but beginners won't be able to play that quick. Alot of Coldplay songs are really simple to play. Coldplay - Don't Panic - Incredibly easy - this song is so easy its just not funny Coldplay - The Scientist - Incredibly easy - like this one Red Hot Chili Peppers - Wet Sand - Easy - not too hard |

|
I'll be picking up my first bass some time soon, so any extremely easy songs to practice hand movement and stuff for a complete beginner? I've literally never played a guitar or bass in my life
|
dont bother
|
dont bother
Or not? Just because I've never played a guitar before doesn't mean I don't play other instruments and don't know what it takes to become good at one, k? |

Sorry man, had me in stitches that comment and don't know why. You're such a dick, but I can't help but laugh. |
not as much of a metallica fan as when I joined back in the day
|
Your fandom only lasted 4 months?
|
No I listened to them a lot before I joined Spuntik, but then I started listening to heavier stuff. Still listen to them occasionally though
