What was your other account? |
CemeteryGates9, BleepBoop, LostChild, We_Protect_Children, Shiny_Leather_Boots, speedmetalrocker, soadozzy11, ootath, im_trying_hard, Agrotath, Gagging Order, DieDarwinDie,v0ll3yb@llspikergurl, probably some others.
This one and LostChild are the only ones I've posted itt with, I think |
Ok.
LostChild is indeed the only one I remember. Wow, you've had a shitload of accounts. I've had this one, one before this and I made one in case I'd get banned. But I never get banned and I forgot the password to the acount anyway. I need to get more into power electronics, but it's a bit too far off, from what I normally listen to. So I'm not really looking into it. Any recommendations for starters? |
its taking a while chris but shouldn't be too long (they are handed out at a random time each month). i've got your email though
heyo Haz i finally took your advice and got around to writing a song that's longer than like two minutes (Thanks For The Bracelet, Princess Sewage Water: http://www.box.net/shared/bu9usg3u10) check it if you want
Your track, I liked it. The layering is good and there is a definite rhythmic hook to the bassline and keys, are you using chiptune VST's? At the very least you seem to be using the square and triangle waveforms these are based around. The shift to the second half of the song feels a little off, but I know how difficult it is to try and keep the dynamics right. You'll get better at it. |
Thanks bro. I don't have a chiptune VST or any special ones besides what came with FL studio
But FL comes with this synth called the WASP and it's perfect for 8bit-sounding waveforms, the majority of the song was made with it. I'm not very good at transitioning from one beat to a different one, it's something I've always noticed. The shift from the first, happy sounding movement to the moodier sounding second part does sound a bit awkward to me. The other shift, in the last minute, was supposed to be a bit abrupt because it's supposed to be more of an outro/interlude then part of the same song. |
I see. You should probably look into playing around with EQ more as well, it could definitely bring things to life a little more.
Check out the Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Equalizers VST plug-in if you get the chance. I've been working with these and getting a much more satisfactory "organic" sound out of digital synths, it seems to be what they are designed for. |
I am /siegheil.jpg'ing this song:
