i need to delve into it more, ive only listened a few times
Check out Clandestine too, that has some good RIFFS also. And you should check out Sodom's Persecution Mania, which imo, has some of the best riffs I have ever heard.
Can anyone make reccomendations for me?

I like a wide range of music, but I want to find new bands to get into. I like death metal, metalcore, deathcore, hard rock, progressive rock, inde rock, maybe just a few screamo bands. I want to find bands that aren't generic and have excellent instrumental and lyrical abilities.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

digging Comets on Fire and Ghost currently, can anybody point me towards some similar artists? Also some more spoken word type stuff (like Steven Jesse Bernstein) would be pretty cool.

salival13 01-10-2010 07:32 PM

Need spoken word indie acoustic for gf, stuff like Iron and Wine or Elliott Smith.
Already posted in the Indie forum but wanna hear what you all have to say too.

Tyler 01-10-2010 07:58 PM

Uh, spoken word? Probably not what you want. But I assume you want kinda folkish, kinda wishy-washy sometimes-acoustic stuff.

M. Ward - Transfiguration Of Vincent
Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production of Eggs
Scott Matthews - Passing Stranger

Not really a music recommendation

But does anyone happen to know a good place for finding some pretty obscure foreign stuff? I'm looking for a japanese band called Borokichi and I'm pretty sure they're no more popular than your average garage punk band. I know some of you guys are big into the torrent thing so hook me up

Jaundice 01-12-2010 03:56 PM

i looked on blog search and literally got no results, and on google all i got was a site selling one of their albums. it was sold out.
