If worst means the biggest gap between a band's legend and hype and it's actual crappy sounding poorly performed pathetically produced output, then Darkthrone is the worst.
Any other "worst, in metal" is impossible to quantify because we haven't quantified what "In Metal" means.

So, we are left with a purely subjective question that demands a lowly opinion designed to flame people.
My lowly opinion, humble even, is that Darkthrone is the worst band in metal.
If you don't like that opinion, go fuck yourself and get some tolerance for others.
