I kinda like one of his ambient albums but ya.

I like [I]Forest Poetry[/I] but [I]Strength And Anger[/I] just sounded like one long song to me.

The Ildjarn ambient is good, the black metal is fine for a little bit but you won't find me listening to Forest Poetry 10 times in a row.

Forest Poetry is definitely not an album I listen to often. I give it a listen quite rarely to be honest, but when I do listen to it, I enjoy it a lot from beginning to end.

try the other big name norwegian bands

immortal (first 2), gorgoroth (first 3), emperor (in the nightside eclipse), burzum, etc

It sucks in the context that I can't recommend similar artists. It's good in the context they sound like no other band.

I think you mean a different Austere to the band we gigged with 'coz we gigged with a bunch of kids playing technical death metal and they were alright. Bit hyper though.
