Name em, discuss em, discuss religion in hardcore

Bad Brains, Shelter, 108...

I'm not sure what sort of beliefs Inside Out had as a band or Zach has...also I know John Joseph (Cro-Mags) was part of the Hare Krishna movement but I don't know about how/if this was a part of the Cro-Mags...so fill me in

Hah Krishna! One time after a show some dude gave me 2 Krishna books. I threw them out.

Hinduism is some pretty interesting s[size=2]h[/size]it. Been reading up on it lately.

I've always planned to read up on different religions, never get around to it though.

Depends on what religion it is.

Read the Bhagavad Gita. Words of Krishna, basically a big long poem (not too long though). Endorsed by Ghandi.

There's a ton of metalcore bands that are Christian. Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying, Sinai Beach. I've heard Evergreen Terrace's older stuff is Christian, but I find that hard to believe.

I don't really care about what a band is into as long as they play good music.

Keep christianity out of hardcore.

Christianity has as much of a right in hardcore as any other ideology, set of beliefs, or subject period.

I was joking, I've only ever heard Underoath once, and that was some song just shouting "I love you Jesus Christ" over and over.

Bands have every right to sing about whatever they want. People have every right to chose not to listen to them for that reason. No one has any right to say that they don't belong.
