Is it me or arctic monkeys are being a big let down, definitely they are moving to a different audience from the first album, b-sides and eps, cause all people who say they love the last albums they say they kinda not like the first one.
For me arctic monkeys are the first and only album.

Caganotas 09-10-2009 04:28 PM

When i heard a fan say it was better for andy nicholson to leave the band like he did, cause he did not fit the bands image, i facepalmed. In fact i think andy was probably one of the main characters for the honest music that arctic monkeys debuted with, and the bass on the first album was top notched compared to usual rock or punk bass.

Get the 8-minute version of "Perfect Kiss", then the rest of Substance.

Still Life Still - Girls Come Too

Nothing special but it's pretty solid. Just something to tide me over until the new BSS comes out.

Yo La Tengo - Popular Songs

this is awesome, I've decided to spend my money on seeing them this week instead of the Weakerthans.

Wanker 09-13-2009 11:27 AM

A buddy of mine from school just made a myspace page for the music he's working on. It's definitely a work in progress, but it's got some potential.. he's been working on this project since he got laid off from his job

http://www.myspace.com/thetwojanesmusic

in case anyone wants to give it a listen.

Yo La Tengo always seemed like an entirely record based band. Tell me how this is. I would probably go see the Weakerthans.

chuffed 09-13-2009 02:52 PM

also pretty sure the weakerthans will have a lot less faggots in the audience

Time 09-13-2009 03:23 PM

why would i care about the audience

i also listen to yo la tengo a lot more
