Looking for Industrial similar to Rammstein

Is there any heavy Industrial metal similar to Rammstein or Eisbrecher? Both German or English is fine...Thanks!

Well if you just said "industrial" I could recommend a few more, but since you've restricted it with the Rammstein caveat..all I can think of is a German band (who sing in English, I think) called Oomph!.

firefoxzero 11-22-2005 11:04 AM

How similar?
I'd suggest:

Static X
Spineshank
Nine Inch Nails

Hope this helps

i'd have to say early NIN or marilyn Manson... ( smells like children album)

Check out KMFDM and Frontline Assembly. Not exactly like Rammstein, but very good.

Fear Factory.

Delay Pedal Boy 11-23-2005 07:36 PM

Psychic TV?
Throbbing Gristle?
Coil?

Listen to true industrial, and I'm pretty sure HevyDevy's recommendations are similar in nature to mine.

There are many bands that have a great sound like Rammstein. One of those bands being KMFDM as already mentioned.

KMFDM are actually one of my favorite bands, all their albums are amazing to me. The use of keyboard/synthesizer and rhythms are what I find most enjoyable as well as their nice heavy sound.

Another good band which also sound like Rammstien but are more 'dancy" is Eisbrecher. Check them out here I am sure they have soundclips on there.

Enjoy

He mentioned Eisbrecher in his first post.

What's the point in that? He's asking for recommendations for a certain kind of music.

Well, I need to clarify about this. I am fascinated by the style of Iron Maiden or Bruce Dickinson himself. So I am not exactly looking for "true industrial", but something heavy, catchy and dramatic. I got the feeling from Rammstein and Eisbrecher, that is why I ask for something similar wether it does exist or not. Thank you all for these recommendations anyway~ :-D

I agree.

Also, as other people have said, Nine Inch Nails would be a good choice.

I am not sure whether they are 'Industrial' or not, but Hansel Und Gretyl.

Maybe Das Ich too?...

It depends what you would call 'Industrial', I expect.

Martin Grech's new record, Unholy, would be great for you. You might like Open Heart Zoo, too, though that's got a few very light, almost poppy songs on it.

Also, try VAST. I only like him a little, but it sounds like you'll love him.

evilmenhavenosongs 11-24-2005 02:46 PM

Try Laibach or Ministry.

firefoxzero 11-25-2005 10:21 AM

Yeah, Ministry's a good choice.

Try Rob Zombie and White Zombie too.
