Band Profile: Youth Brigade

Short biography but not much to say, and if dk or JmE could add this to the list that would be swell!

Band members:
Adam Stern - Bass
Mark Stern - Drums
Shawn Stern - Guitar, Vocals

Discography:
Too long to list: http://mikebrigade.tripod.com/discography.html

In the late 70's and early 80's punk hit Southern California hard. With bands such as Black Flag, Germs, Descendents, Adolescents and Youth Brigade. Youth Brigade was formed in Los Angeles in the summer of 1980 by brothers Shawn, Adam and Mark Stern. The name of the band goes with the three brother's philosophy that youth is an attitude and doesn't just pertain to age. Just like the band's name, Better Youth Organization (BYO) was founded upon the same philosophy, which Mark and Shawn founded in 1979. BYO did many things for the scene and eventually led to the formation of BYO Records, featuring bands such as: The Unseen, The Briefs, Manic Hispanic, Pistol Grip, The Business, Hepcat, 7 Seconds, and of course, Youth Brigade in '82.

There very first show was on the eve of the new year 1982 at a place called Godzilla's. Over the next three years, Youth Brigade played many shows in both North America and Europe. When the band finished off their very first North American tour, they rerecorded the previously made LP that the band found unsatisfactory, and released Sound and Fury. After the European tour where they played in countries like England and Poland, Adam went back to art school to get his degree. A few years later, the three brothers reunited and started touring again. Since they started touring again they have released a few more albums and gone on tour some more.

No it's not, there are two seperate ones. One is from DC/on Dischord records (along with Minor Threat, Fugazi, Scream). And the other is from California, IDK much about them though.
