niobium 08-15-2009 07:34 AM

i dig early mornings you didn't have to wake up for

soft music on powerful speakers

fresh coffee from a recently broken seal of coffee

i dip my hands down and scoop up remnants of forgotten lives
pained by earnest efforts not to wade beyond the deep
not is this greatest cosmic milkshake to stir the trivial with the ethereal
reminded of the dusted footprints behind but half sunken
ringing and singing and jingling your keith

JonM 08-15-2009 07:56 AM

Wow I came back in time to see WIBDL die.

I have been digging Clubroot's s/t that just came out. The super-deluxe-edition packaging will totally replace Untrue by Burial on my hipster coffee table.

No actually this record is really, really cool. It almost feels like a commentary on The Club, but it's a very honest one. Good for late night drives and skinny-jeans parties.

Anxious 08-15-2009 11:10 AM

Smells like some hipster bullpoop to me.

Correction 08-15-2009 11:12 AM

it's bon iver's band so yeah you're basically right

sub-bass 08-15-2009 12:31 PM

I thought Bon Iver was a band?

Correction 08-15-2009 12:55 PM

well bon iver's basically a one-man project the dude's name is justin vernon i just said bon iver in that last post so people would know who i'm talking about

sub-bass 08-15-2009 01:10 PM

Alright. I was under the impression Bon Iver was just a band Justin Vernon was in since he does solo stuff under his own name. I got it now, Volcano Choir + Justin Vernon = Bon Iver.

Correction 08-15-2009 01:13 PM

lol no volcano choir's a new project with justin vernon that hasn't been released yet. vernon also records also under the pseudonym of bon iver, with some other people at times--not really an actual kind of band though. his one full-length under the name of bon iver was recorded completely by himself though. he released some stuff under his own name but they didn't get any attention.

sub-bass 08-15-2009 01:33 PM

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I've only listened to one of his Justin Vernon albums and a small amount of Bon Iver.

easylee 08-15-2009 01:33 PM

yeah dude cmon, you should know that

sub-bass 08-15-2009 01:44 PM

I know. Where have I been?
