finally got a what.cd acct, these were my first d/l's
phil spector - back to mono--this is great, although obviously i'll usually listen a few tracks at the most and switch to other stuff; good when i'm digging the 60s girl group stuff. "there's no one like my baby" by the crystals is my current favorite. big star - keep an eye on the sky--got this without any prior knowledge about the band and, though i've only listened to, like, half of the first disc, a lot of this stuff here is great--just great pop songwriting. richard hawley - coles corner--haven't listened to this in full but i love the title track and 'the ocean'; i have a feeling i'll adore the whole thing dorian concept - when planets explode--i youtubed this and it sounded like a bunch of flying lotus-esque beats which is A okay with me; haven't listened to the album yet. flying lotus - los angeles--love this. nearly as good as cosmogramma, which is where i started. might be as good. 'parisian goldfish' is the jam. glenn branca - lesson no. 1--haven't listened; seems like a very interesting artist. henry cow - unrest--i ****ing love this; fractured "prog" from the 70s. just absolutely insane. glenn branca - the ascension--ditto with lesson no 1 |
NguzuNguzu - Got U
this tune. aaaall day also Jacques Greene - (Baby I Don't Know) What You Want |
arms and sleepers - matador

nosferatu d2 made the best product of their imagination. sometimes really samey, but the high points are thrust out unexpectedly. new marcel dettmann is good |
