local natives - gorilla manor
holy fuck - latin
les savy fav - lets stay friends
gotye - like drawing blood

saw all these bands at a festival yesterday, spend today reliving it. they were all so awesome, les savy fav the best. most fun live show ive seen in a while, including seeing rammstein 2 weeks ago. and holy fuck were just brilliant, the songs off latin sounded so good live. cant wait to see them again at a proper show

cbmartinez 02-07-2011 02:43 PM

i saw holy fuck back when LP had just come out, one of the best shows I've seen, i dont really like latin though

The guitarist from Blood on the Wall used to be like the matridee at a restaurant here in CA and she always was telling me I needed to get that record. Is it good?

Apocalyptic Raids 02-07-2011 08:03 PM

yeah, it's pretty good. good collection of stuff from the early EPs and singles, which seem to be their most important work. can definitely see why stephen malkmus cited them as a major influence.

SirGSS 02-08-2011 09:56 AM

Throwin' it out there--My personal little security blanket lately has been Poets of the Fall. An absolutely amazing band out of Finland with a pretty solid reputation thusfar (Unsigned, four albums in, and they consistently get rated on the charts when they drop a single, you say? Really? Niiiice.).

Anyone who's a fan of Alt. Rock can probably find this band a safe bet to listen to.
