Current 93

imperialblackness 06-06-2009 11:00 AM

I listened to a lot of KMFDM yesterday, they are playing close to me in a few months but I cant go cause its 21+

Meatplow 06-06-2009 02:01 PM

haha, damn. they'd probably put on a good show, though some of their later stuff isn't so hot

Shattered_Future 06-06-2009 07:40 PM

I'd go see them, even though their latest 2 albums aren't terribly great.

Meatplow 06-06-2009 07:48 PM

everything from naive > symbols is essential to me

FatalEnergy 06-06-2009 11:23 PM
i went through an IDM period a while back, I soon burnt out on it though. BoC still remains my favourite group, found some good stuff in Mrs Jynx, The Flashbulb, Wisp etc. I'll return to it before long.

Genesis P-orridge & Psychic TV's Trip Reset is pretty good. I need more Throbbing Gristle, 12 Jazz Funk Greats owns.
Get Second Annual Report.

Some of the songs on it are straight up creepy and drone like.

OzzyTornado 06-10-2009 06:20 PM
get The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste next, then Psalm 69 and Filth Pig
also

land of rape and honey

houses of the mole

illmitch 06-11-2009 12:11 AM

Meatplow 06-11-2009 06:11 PM

I haven't heard of them before but I love noise rock, i'll take a look.

ATM 06-11-2009 06:56 PM

Brainbombs are awesome.

illmitch 06-11-2009 07:53 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baEiu2NCDek try this out

Meatplow 06-14-2009 05:19 PM

I can't check youtube vids atm, sorry :( i managed to find their 2007 self titled release though. Might have to resort to blogs or soulseek to find their earlier stuff.

Green Army Fraction's Chlorophyll Flood is worth checking out.

Meatplow 06-23-2009 07:06 AM

flesh field's strain is pure awesome

Jaundice 06-23-2009 09:17 PM

This Kollaps album by Einsturzende Neubauten goes there.

Murdererer 06-23-2009 09:27 PM

a few suicide commando albums are pretty good

Meatplow 07-01-2009 07:09 AM

I don't think i've heard any Suicide Commando. I could use some more EN, Tabula Rasa and Strategies Against Architecture were pretty good but I haven't listened to them enough.

early Current 93 is not bad

1338 h4x0r 07-01-2009 08:24 AM

Since Suicide Commando was mentioned just now, I'd like to draw your attention to the videos by Schlechtwetterfront

Txus 07-01-2009 08:48 AM

I like 2 Suicide Commando's albums, Bind Torture Kill and Axis of Evil the others I've heard are boring as ****

1338 h4x0r 07-01-2009 09:13 AM

I think everything Johan van Roy has done is elite

There again I really have a boner for this kind of music

I'm surprised I didn't know Front Line Assembly before now

Txus 07-01-2009 09:19 AM

SC are elite live

1338 h4x0r 07-01-2009 09:27 AM

Something about van Roy's music suggests the combined guilt of coming from a Protestant cultural background and post-war social democratic political background

Meatplow 07-01-2009 10:08 AM

I get a lot of these socio-political undertones from bands with socio-political overtones such as Laibach

Many of these fit the thread rubric

Except for Billy Idol

1338 h4x0r 07-01-2009 11:44 PM

Front 242 - Operating Tracks

o/ o/ o/

Meatplow 07-01-2009 11:49 PM

something about the way he is spinning on the ground looks really out of whack

this is probably my favourite front 242 song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXMJ51yvfF0

Jaundice 07-01-2009 11:50 PM

i dont think there is one, that i can see, but at the same time it does look a bit off if you pay attention

Murdererer 07-01-2009 11:53 PM
