I'd swear this was the most obvious troll ever if it weren't for the join date.

Just recommend the guy stuff if you can, lets not turn this into an argument.
|
Bring me the horizon
Stick to your guns Winds of plague Years spent cold That's not trolling, i'm actually being serious. And yeah maybe something like We Came as Romans, Underoath, Poison the Well. |
Thanks Jaundice.
In my defense I triiiieeeddd to get into Converge today; just don't get it. Bring me the horizon and BlessTheFall have some of the cheesiest/cliche lyrics ever, so I'm trying to get away from them. P.S. Appreciate the modding MeatPlow, i saw your sig; I once used Peste Noire's "Dueil Angoisseus" as the background music to a slideshow I did for Western CIV II class; teacher thought it was great "period music" because of the intro instrumentals... I put the first two minutes on loop lol. EDIT: Okay I like "We came as Romans" so far, just have to make sure I don't look at the band at all as I have trouble taking music seriously coming a lead singer that looks like that... |
every time i die
poison the well listen to converge until it makes sense misery signals botch 7 angels 7 plagues dangers dillinger escape plan
Okay, can I get some specific song recommendations on 7A7P... I have tried like five times to get into them, and I know they are even referenced by MiserySignals. No luck. Same with DEP and PTW if you know any off the top of your head. I'm already a misery signals fan because of the song "the year summer ended in June". I'm not a troll, it's just hard for me to pinpoint what I like about an artist/group/band. I like Dan Fogelberg, sinead o connor, Sigur Ros, Brand New, WallsOfJericho, Interpol, GhostlandObservatory, DanceGavinDance, Misery Signals, BetweenTheBuriedAndMe, etc... I actually don't get why i'm flamed or considered a troll so much on this site, unless I'm missing something and this a primarily deathmetal site. |
Well the majority of the people here are musical elitists that download more obscure music in one day than the average person has heard, so when people come around listening to "generic" stuff like Devil Wears Prada we tend to assume it's a joke or we mess with them a little.
Dillinger Escape Plan, Sigur Ros, Brand New and Between the Buried and Me have quite a following here though, so you may be able to fit in. |

And I like vocalists with talent, or atleast ones that can sing. |
well there's your issue my man
there's a lot more to music than vocals |

Same with DEP and PTW if you know any off the top of your head.
7a7p - a farewell to a perfect score, away with words, dandelion DEP - 43% burnt, panasonic youth, unretrofied. pretty much covers the whole dillinger sound. PTW - nerdy, lazzaro, crystal lake, apathy is a cold body, exist underground. same with dillinger. |

Amazing! thanks - got my work cut out for me, love that kind of work |
3 things because i just came back be extra nice...
1-any band like Burst...ps (mainly to Mr. Cocaine but anyone can chime in) has there been any side projects that have come from the members or are in the works? I can't find any news so any help would be wonderful 2-any death metal bands that uses atypical death metal drumming (i don't mind some double bass/blasts/etc. but i'm looking more for the approach of bands like Nahemah) 3- a band that has breakdowns but isn't terrible and still has something else to offer...i'm in a breakdowny mood...thanks franks |
Gimme some good 2010 releases. I liked -
The American Dollar - Atlas Extortion - Loose Screws Sigh - Scenes From Hell Immolation - Majesty and Decay In Vain - Mantra I'm not necessarily after anything like these but you all pretty much know my music tastes by now. |
