you'll fit in just fine in the community thread

Meatplow 01-22-2010 02:13 PM

haha yep

I need to get this Front 242 album

RouteOne 01-22-2010 02:23 PM

I personally do not see the big deal with Lady Gaga.

Jaundice 01-22-2010 02:23 PM

Flannel wearing individuals who like to drink mead typically don't like Lady Gaga.

RouteOne 01-22-2010 02:25 PM

You are right. Usually we are men.

Txus 01-22-2010 02:27 PM

I can listen to a couple of Gaga songs but I really can't sit through a whole album. It's impossible to listen to that **** for so long.

Jaundice 01-22-2010 02:28 PM

Have you ever listened to The Fame all the way though ?

You really can't appreciate her without hearing the whole statement at least once or twice.

Txus 01-22-2010 02:32 PM

Yeah, I have. Couldn't really finish it.

RouteOne 01-22-2010 02:35 PM

I admit that her songs are pretty catchy, but after 2 songs they sort of blend together.

Txus 01-22-2010 02:36 PM

That's basically what I said, Ron.

:p

RouteOne 01-22-2010 02:44 PM

Mr. Ron does not read any other posts besides Mr. Ron posts.

Txus 01-22-2010 02:53 PM

:(.

RouteOne 01-22-2010 02:56 PM

Front 242 - Front By Front

Meatplow 01-22-2010 09:48 PM

Tactical Neural Implant and Front By Front are awesome

Mr Fahrenheit 01-23-2010 03:03 AM
electronica is a ridiculous umbrella term popularised by the MTV generation
I've always thought this, but I know very little about this music.
Some stuff like Helios, M83, early Mum, and Bersarin Quartett may all be considered electronica, even though they have very few similarities between them.
But I have no what else to call them

Sorry for quoting 30+pages ago, btw

Meatplow 01-23-2010 03:31 AM

lol it's okay, in context that was more of a joke at the elitism that can be associated with electronic music nerds. I still try not to use the word if I can help it.

listening to some Chris Clark

Mr Fahrenheit 01-23-2010 03:47 AM

man, I can see that context now

Anyone looking forward to the new Another Electronic Musician and SubtractiveLAD releases?

Meatplow 01-23-2010 04:25 AM

I can't say i've ever heard of them, what type of electronic music is it?

Clark's Body Riddle is alright, I think I like Clarence Park the most out of his stuff though.

Mr Fahrenheit 01-23-2010 04:41 AM

SubtractiveLAD, I would say is ambient-ish?:http://www.myspace.com/sublad

Another Electronic Musician is ... electronica (ha):http://www.myspace.com/anotherelectronicmusician

Mr Fahrenheit 01-23-2010 04:42 AM

Oh.. and I looked into Clark a little while ago, but nothing really caught my interest

Rexx Shredd 01-23-2010 05:35 AM
Tactical Neural Implant and Front By Front are awesome
Hard to believe that they are circa 20 years old now. As great as it is, Front By Front sounds a tad dated these days but its amazing to me just how advanced Tactical Neural Implant was for its time.

Meatplow 01-23-2010 05:39 AM

Yeah, even if Front by Front does sound a little stuck in its era I do love those antiquated sounds though :D Check out Nitzer Ebb's That Total Age if you haven't already (I mentioned it a few pages back).

FLA's Artificial Soldier was the only other release i've heard from them, it was great as well. They have a solid discography i'm led to believe, so I should check it out before long.
Oh.. and I looked into Clark a little while ago, but nothing really caught my interest
which releases did you hear?

I liked them all, Body Riddle was probably my least favourite though

Rexx Shredd 01-23-2010 05:41 AM

If you like Front By Front for those reasons, you will probably like FLA's "Caustic Grip" as well. Virus and Iceolate are killer tracks

Check out the Sphere Lazza "Incinerate" CD...came out in the mid 90s but sounds 80s

Ill check out the Nitzer Ebb recommend
