But just because it has considerable hype right now doesn't mean it's without substance, it just means that yeah, it might be a gateway band for people who don't consistently like the genre so their path deeper into the genre might end right there.

Anyway, I find the album goes downhill a bit after Riding the Blade. Not too too fond of songs like Painters Rope.

Thing is what you said doesn't really apply here. It's not like the people in this thread who said they liked it are completely new to the genre and they don't know anything.

Krallice is awesome, maybe not extremely raw or anything but it's good music, and I'll take it as such.
