A few albums and EPs from 2009 that I've stumbled across and enjoyed in the last month or so:
Florence and the Machine - Lungs The Felice Brothers - Yonder is the Clock Delorean - Ayrton Senna Bear in Heaven - Beast Rest Forth Mouth Of these, I like Florence and the Machine the best... the lead singer has an incredible voice and the sound is really catchy and interesting. I like Delorean's EP quite a bit, it's a bit more electronic/glo-fi... nice and trippy, though the singer's voice isn't the best. The Felice Brothers are really talented if you like more folk/alt-country while Bear in Heaven is a bit more heavy, fuzzy, trippy rock |

kurt vile- constant hitmaker
man this is ****ing awesome, anyone who digs this should check out the war on drugs- wagonwheel blues, kurt vile is the guitarist for them, their album is like bob dylan if it was shoegaze |
that sounds awful.
kurt vile is pretty awesome though. |
Burial - Untrue
homeless is perfection |
that sounds awful.
kurt vile is pretty awesome though.
its more that the vocals and lyrics have a very dylan feel, the music sounds like kurt vile's stuff |
Fauna - The Hunt
The Blithe Sons - Green Mansions Hush Arbors - Yankee Reality |

Yeah, they're on the list... for whenever they do an Australian Tour. |
^^Agreed
But I still can't really get into the new album :( |
I love how dark and understated everything is, at least compared to their older stuff. As far as the 'Liars sound' goes, I sorta find it some of their most accessible stuff.

Yeah, they're definitely worth seeing, I saw them open for Radiohead August 2009, probably the best show I've ever been to, even though it poured rain throughout the whole set. |
