The album is practically flawless, you won't be disappointed.

Society Sellout 12-09-2004 08:41 AM

Hey can someone review Straylight Run's debute album plz. That would be really helpful to me. Thanks

Bartender 12-09-2004 04:07 PM
sonata arctica- ecliptica
Has also already been done. You should really check the list before calling dibs.

Shadows 12-09-2004 04:53 PM

Somebody stop me before my list of dibs is days long...but I'd like to add Aborted - Goremageddon to it.

And yes I checked but I didn't see it on the reviewed list.

superpeer 12-09-2004 07:03 PM

Belgian Metal, nice.

Shadows 12-09-2004 07:09 PM

Oh yeah. I picked it up today for the first time in a while and couldn't figure out why I stopped listening to it in the first place.

Iai2 12-11-2004 12:48 PM

I have completed reviews to post.

Dibs on Andromeda - II=I

I'll be getting it sometime around christmas, so it'll be a couple weeks.

Red Stripe 12-12-2004 07:22 AM

Survival of the Sickest - Saliva

Dancin' Man 12-12-2004 10:15 AM

How far in advance to an album's release can we dibs it?

/is going to try to steal the new Tool from JoZ and TMV from Pixiesfanyo

Shadows 12-12-2004 01:39 PM

Alright, so to recap, I have dibs on:

Emperor/Enslaved
Arch Enemy - Wages of Sin
Aborted - Goremageddon
Skinny Puppy - VIVIsect VI

EDIT: Sorry guys, at this point it looks like Aborted is the only one I'll be finishing, but there's still a very slight possibility for Skinny Puppy. My deepest apologies. :upset:

Zappa 12-12-2004 02:06 PM

I will eventually do "Let Love In" by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

So watch yo' ***.

Neoteric 12-12-2004 02:13 PM

Can anyone do a review on The Eightys Matchbox B-line Disaster's The Royal Society

The JoZ 12-12-2004 04:09 PM

Alright, request time.

"This is Love: This Is Murderous" by Bleeding Through.

I heard one track off of it, and it was pretty awesome. :thumb:

Shadows 12-12-2004 04:11 PM

I was seriously considering doing that. I saw them live two days ago and it was the craziest show ever. Plus their keyboardist is insanely hot.

The JoZ 12-12-2004 04:12 PM

Well stop considering and start writing :thumb:

Shadows 12-12-2004 04:22 PM

Alright. :thumb: Add it to my list of dibs - this one will probably come next.

Grateful Undead starring Jerry 12-12-2004 04:29 PM

Request: Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music.

No joke.

Mardy 12-12-2004 04:43 PM

Gorguts - "Obscura"

A groundbreaking DM album. I know someone told me that they would review it soon, but that's been while

Iai2 12-12-2004 04:44 PM
My apologies to Iai/Iai2/
Don't apologize to me, I can't edit anything any more. :upset:

That was me. I attemped to review it, but I really didn't know where to start, thanks for the recommendation though, it's one of my favourite CD's now :thumb:

I've had that album for about 2 years, and I still haven't made it to the end! it's too intense!

Iai2 12-12-2004 05:15 PM
Iai got banned for saying "Primus sucks," I believe. That's a raw deal.

Iai2, any idea how long Iai got banned?
He got banned for saying 'Primus Blows', actually.

I believe it is a 3-day ban due to expire some time tomorrow.

for a warning to people who don't know about it? Wouldn't be too hard to write about.
"An hour of screechy bull**** noise. 1/10 (the 1 is for the defiant stand against the record company wanting something easily marketable)."

If my tape player still works, I'll do Powderfinger - Double Allergic soon.

Iai2 12-13-2004 04:06 AM

More Van Morrison plz.

I would dib myself, but I have too many dibs already. Moondance and Tupelo Honey would both be fantastic.

Bartender 12-13-2004 04:17 AM

We haven't even got Astral Weeks done, which is in the Top 500, I think.

Then you should try Crowpath, very intense. Try to start with the song Kings among Cockroaches. If you go to the www.ultimatemetal.com frontpage, there's a link

this album acutally sounds interesting. Reminds me of the Anal Cunt - 5232 song ep (or whatever the number was)

Bartender 12-13-2004 05:34 AM

5643, I think. Though I really shouldn't know that.

morrissey 12-13-2004 06:30 AM

Iai: I finished Strangeways, Here We Come by the Smiths, I hope it lives up to your standards :p

(just a note to remove it from the dibs list when you get unbanned :thumb: )

I am a revenant 12-13-2004 02:19 PM

The bronx- S/T
Cave In- Antenna

Thanks.

Can someone reveiw "Waking The fallen" from Avenged Sevenfold or u can send me one to www.****paco999@yahoo.com

Zappa 12-13-2004 05:16 PM

Is it OK to review a single classical piece? I have this album of the complete works of Edgard Varese, and doing all 15 pieces (2 and a half hours) of music is a harrowing undertaking, but I'd like to at least review a piece or two. Can I do so, Bartender?

Maybe you could just review it as The Complete Works.., with a small paragraph noting briefly the pieces you don't feel like reviewing (basically whether they're good or not, some background on Varese), and then devoting the rest to the piece(s) you do want to talk about.

We'll see. Thanks for the snappy response.
