I'd like to see some reviews for the Paiste Rude cymbals - and if anyone's had the luxury to compare Sound Edge hats with regular Rude 14" hats :)
Thanks!

Can someone please review the Axis Longboard X-L2 Double Bass Pedals, ive heard they're awesome, but i also think they're relatively new, and pretty freakin' expensive ($430 US). Any info on them would be appreciated.

Skulltapper : RE: Chad Smith Snare
Chad Smith Snare
my drum teacher's son has a chad smith signature snare and may i say it is one of the best on the market. It definately makes use of the nickel plated steel shell because the sound that you get from a single stroke is loud, bright, but at the same time heavy and rocky, it will definately make you want to go through every song on your chili's albums. peace out

Review AAX Stage Set Please

Seafroggys 10-18-2005 12:09 AM

y'know, does anybody ever do the reviews that are requested?

Der Meister 10-18-2005 12:46 PM

well people can only review what they have extensively used so chances are, there aren't gonna be many people who have used it and have seen this thread/can be bothered.

Tim 10-19-2005 04:26 AM

If anyone could do some reviews on some percussion items such as cowbells, jamblocks, and such things like that...it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Der Meister 10-19-2005 07:59 AM

Lp jam block done just for you ;)

dementis 10-19-2005 03:27 PM

im pretty much a noob at this. but i bought some kit off my mate cheaply and i wish to upgrade... ive pretty much wasted the crash cymbal and i wanna replace all the cymbals cheaply... like with one of those packages...

what are the solor ones like...

or i was thinking of the zildren one which are much more expensive

would someone please review the cymbals for me please

Der Meister 10-19-2005 03:30 PM

the solars are cheap but utter sh!te. The Paiste 101s would be better for you. The ZBT's are too expensive for what they are.

You can get a set of 101's for about £60 consisting of hi hats, crash and a ride.

dementis 10-19-2005 03:34 PM

right toe....

ye i thought the solors would be... i didnt like the idea of paying that much for the zildren.. ill have a look at the paiste's

cheers

Der Meister 10-19-2005 03:40 PM

What I did was buy the Paistes because they where cheap and then started saving for professional cymbals over a couple over years. This means I saved money by not buying intermediate cymbals and by the time I got professional cymbals, my technique was better so I would do no damage to them.

dementis 10-21-2005 02:44 AM

yea good point,,, but i know how to not hit them so hard... lol but when i first got the kit that was a different story :P...

i have £80 now i dunno if i should just save up now..

Der Meister 10-21-2005 09:25 AM

it's not just hitting hard, you should use sweeping strokes when crashing rtaher that pushing into the cymbals.

I haven't had mine for ages so I won't write a review but I will say that I really didn't like the IC double. Pedals are definatley somthing you have to try yourself and make your own judgement on.

If anyones familiar w/ Gretsch drum sets that'd be great... cuz i've been looking at a Gretsch Catalina Maple, and it looks like a good set; but i don't know any 'details' about it...

I second that, and the maple kit too please.

drumDawG 09-05-2006 04:33 AM

 Anyone out there have a set of TAYE pro x drums? I am considering a set of these drums as a secondary "workhorse" kit. I know that Ray Ayotte is heading this company. That, in and of itself, should a be good enough testimonial. I'd like to hear it from an actual owner. The drums look beautiful.
I am considering the blue crush laminate finish. How does the hardware perform? This kit comes with the Taye "D" series hardware pack, if that's any help. Any imput would be appreciated:thumb:

Could anyone do a review on the "Pork Pie Acrylic Snare w/Black Powder Hardware"? I'd like it to be someone who owns it, or has owned it.
