New Zealanders clearly don't understand the interchange rule.

Aaron 05-14-2009 02:02 AM

Penalty for having more than 13 on the pitch at one time.

loooool i heard that joke today

gaslight 05-14-2009 03:28 AM

Haha. Nice. That girl should quit her whinging if you ask me.

Aes820 05-14-2009 05:37 AM

Regret is not the same as rape.
I remember banging a fatty when I was 20, but now I don't claim it as assault.

I feel bad for Matty, his trial by media, and his being made the scapegoat.

gaslight 05-14-2009 05:48 AM

That's basically what I think too man. If you're the kind of chick who wants to jump some league players in a bar, honestly you're probably (read: definitely) a dingbat to begin with. Further to that, even in her story it was consentual. You can regret being a slut but you're angry at your own decisions. Why take it out on a guy and wreck his career, just because you're a ho when you're tanked? Tell it to Oprah.

Aes820 05-14-2009 06:19 AM

My perspective is obviously skewed because I'm a bloke. Let's face it, if I hooked up with the Polish Women's Volleyball Team:
http://polish-blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/womens-volleyball-poland0801.jpg
The last thing I would do is show up teary-eyed on 4-Corners.

But yeah. The girl obviously has regrets. And I feel bad for her too.
But your own regrets shouldn't lead to the wrecked lives of others.

Aaron 05-14-2009 06:48 AM

*will not make joke about having a pole for them*

Though you'd be on 4 Corners making sure everyone knew about it :smash:.

An entire team of attractive sportswomen. I thought they only existed in myth.

I can't handle waiting a month between releases. I'm doing them two weeks apart.

Is the music available?

Meatplow 05-14-2009 09:50 AM

some of the country music people listen to at work is atrocious
Well there's always been groups of people that could never see eye to eye... an' I always thought if they'd get the chance to sit down and talk face to face they might realize they got a lot in common.....

Well I was sittin' in a coffee shop, just havin' a cup to pass the time.
Swappin' rodeo stories with this ole cowboy friend of mine.
When some motor-cycle riders started snickerin' in the back
started pokin' fun at my friend's hat.

One ole boy said hey Tex, where'd you park your horse.
My friend just pulled his hat down low, but they couldn't be ingnored.
One husky fellow said, I think I'll rip that hat right off your head.
That's when my friend turned around, and this is what he said.....

You'll ride a black tornado, cross't the western sky
Rope an ole blue norther and milk it till it's dry
Bull dawg the Mississippi, pin it's ears down flat...
Long before you take this cowboy's hat....

Now partner, this ole hat is better left alone,
She used to be my daddy's, but last year he passed on.
My nephew skinned the Rattler that makes up this ole hatband,
But back in 69 he died in Viet_Nam

Now the eagle feather was given to me by an indian friend of mine
But someone ran him down somewheres round that Arizona line
And a real special lady gave me this hat pin
But I don't know if I'll ever see her again.

You'll ride a black tornado, cross't the western sky
Rope an ole blue norther and Milk it till it's dry
Bull dawg the Mississippi pin it's ears down flat...
Long before you take this cowboy's hat

Now if your leather jacket means to you what this hat means to me
Then I guess we understand each other, and we'll just let it be.
But if you still think it's funny, man, you got my back up against the wall.
And if you touch my hat, your gonna have to fight us all...

Well, right then I caught a little sadness in that gang leaders eyes,
And he turned back t'wards the others and they all just sorta shuffled on outside
But when my friend turned back t'wards me, I noticed his old hat brim
Well it was turned up.. in a big ole texas grin

You'll ride a black tornado cross't the western skies
Rope an ole blue norther, milk it till it's dry
Bull dawg the Mississippi, pin it's ears down flat
Long before you take this cowboy's hat.
I was bull dawging the Mississippi before it was cool.

Still, I'd take that song over this awful country/nu-metal hybrid I saw on TV the other day.

Anything that doesn't have a future release date is. :)
Later today I'm going to update my blog with links to all in one spot.
thanks man, yeah I love that era :) the clear lake audiotorium EP is really good, only listened to 3 Feet High and Rising as well should look more into them
De La Soul Is Dead is pretty bloody good, also check out some Jungle Brothers "Straight From the Jungle" too (if you haven't already)

gaslight 05-14-2009 10:06 PM

You guys should check out Stetsasonic for some old school live-band hip hop.

Meatplow 05-14-2009 10:07 PM

Yeah I got two of their albums, on vinyl. Memories. Ultramagnetic MC's is awesome too, which I have one of their albums on vinyl too. Might give em a spin over the weekend. Oh wait, I've got too much tech death to get thru, oh well.

gaslight 05-14-2009 10:59 PM

Oh they'd be mad fun on vinyl. If I had a bit more disposable income I'd go mental on jazz vinyls.

Aaron 05-14-2009 11:08 PM

Hello chilluns.

I've got three vinyls [vinii?]: Jethro Tull's Aqualung and Songs From The Wood, and George Benson's Breezin'.

gaslight 05-14-2009 11:19 PM

My favourite that I have bought myself is the Trio Of Doom vinyl.

nevertoolate 05-14-2009 11:40 PM

My fave vinyl I own are my Nirvana ones, Nevermind, Bleach and In Utero........cherished much.

Meatplow 05-14-2009 11:55 PM

i would love to collect some vinyl, it's rather hip

also, stuff by bands who only release on cassette.

Aaron 05-14-2009 11:58 PM

I don't like Nirvana.

I want to release onto 2" tape.

Meatplow 05-15-2009 12:01 AM

nirvana had a few banging songs, a tad overrated but any band that has a cult following is

getting my post-punk on

They were a big part in my late high school years, got me thru VCE, and into guitar and drum based music too.

Aaron 05-15-2009 12:26 AM

I find them boring, tbh

gaslight 05-15-2009 12:35 AM

Releasing on cassette would be a ridiculous choice for a musician, the only thing it does is say "look at me, I'm on cassette, that thing nobody bothers with anymore, isn't this so old school and retro-faux-hip?". It'd be cute but stupid.

I don't think they even make things that play cassettes anymore, you may as well sing your songs into a jar and put the lid on quick.

Aaron 05-15-2009 12:39 AM

Music-box is the emerging medium. Those rolling-steel things have a much better sound than v0
