I've heard Rock the Casbah, Train in Vain, London Calling, Should I Stay or Should I Go, and surprisingly, Police and Theives on th radio.

WorryRocker921 03-02-2005 03:29 PM

Yeah I heard Train In Vain once to. It surprised me considering most radio stations around here are rap or country.

CDR_Cool 03-02-2005 03:31 PM

Should I Stay or Should I Go was on The Rugrats Go Wild. it made me laugh. alot. then cry. a little. I hear that on the radio alot, and Train in Vain

guns_of_brixton 03-02-2005 03:31 PM

THe radio station here plays it like at least once a week.

guns_of_brixton 03-02-2005 03:32 PM
Should I Stay or Should I Go was on The Rugrats Go Wild. it made me laugh. alot. then cry. a little. I hear that on the radio alot, and Train in Vain
I really almost did cry when I saw the preview. I bet Joe was rolling in his grave.

CDR_Cool 03-02-2005 03:33 PM

hehe I can imagine Joe popping out his grave to feed on the brains of the living. I should go make a movie about that. Joe Strummer Versus The Wild Thornberrys

Coma_Girl 03-02-2005 04:34 PM

i hate when people make joe roll in his grave.it makes me sick. :upset: stupid people who ruin his work!awwww!

Forest_Fire 03-02-2005 04:38 PM

:upset:

this is depressing now

Coma_Girl 03-02-2005 04:58 PM

let's make it less depressing.

"Looord, there's gonna set the car on fire"

CombatRock 03-02-2005 05:08 PM

Jimmy’s outside but you can’t take him back for the drama of design
They hit him in the back and see the long arm dropped over the school cuisines
They say now back and hands facing the sidewalk as they slowly click on

the very beginning of clampdown...the part nonoe can understand...well there you go

Coma_Girl 03-02-2005 05:15 PM

where did you find it? :amaze:
i love you

Jessizzle 03-02-2005 06:32 PM

Its Cool, but i have little to contruibute. well, almost none.

HiP-h0p |\|4zi 03-02-2005 06:35 PM

what kind of guitar did strummer use

CombatRock 03-02-2005 06:52 PM

fender telecaster, i think he had 2..a both black, one with a rosewood fretboard, and another with a maple

paul simonon used a rickenbacker early on but hated so went on to use a white/black fender with a maple fretboard,,which is the famous one he smashed, he also used a white/black fender with a rosewooed fretboard
and in the video for "the call up" and " london calling" he can be seen usign what looks liek an ibanez hollow body bass..paul got his fender basses from CBS

mick jones used a gibson lespaul..cherry sunburst, and he also had a moroon looking one, he had a yellow double cut away along with a red one..and in one video he was using a all black fender stratocaster

i dont no what drums topper used though

HiP-h0p |\|4zi 03-02-2005 06:57 PM

How about Amps, or effects

Forest_Fire 03-02-2005 07:00 PM

awesome information.

im pretty sure paul played with the tone all the way down, but thats all i know about their performance notes

Coma_Girl 03-02-2005 07:02 PM

woah travis.i didnt know all that!except for the joe part.

and for those who are interested, i have some translation problems with my mescaleros profil. :upset:
