AMAZING!!! I had soo much fun. I was kinda tired b/c there were 5 other bands to skank to before they came, but they were awesome. Defenetly i show id go to again.

KingOfSka 04-23-2005 09:28 PM

Chips 04-23-2005 10:16 PM

The Planet Smashers are one of my favorite bands. I've seen them a couple times and I'm planning to see them again in May. If you ever get a chance to see them don't pass it up, they put on a great show and they're really nice guys if you get a chance to talk with them. I recomend downloading Super Orgy Porno Party and The Manta Ray Dance, great songs.

redstainedeyes 04-24-2005 08:03 AM

Smashers are my fave!

Coma_Girl 04-24-2005 08:21 AM

yeah they're really great live but they always play the same songs and ask people to sit down during sufing in tofino and when it says '1-2-3.....10' they make people jump.but it's always fun anyway.

hah, it's funny because they do. And there's always a few assholes who refuse to sit down.

skankinOstrich 04-24-2005 04:41 PM

i just saw them on Thursday, and Leon (aka Lonestar) is still in the band. He's just bald now. they were amazing, and played pretty much every song I yelled out. Even stopped a song just to fill a request. that's bada'ss.

TheNowhereman42 04-24-2005 09:47 PM

i didnt like them. their singer's beard pissed me off, too. Not much energy when i saw them, actually, except their singer jumping up and down every one in a while.

but they did have that cool Asian synth player...

yeah. and Chicago did suck. there was 50 people there, maybe less, and the stage was 5 feet across. it was ****'ty, and the opening band was bad enough to make me cry. :upset:

There were 4 bands and 2.5 hours before the know how and planet smashers came, so i was dead. I guess everything sounded good.

I love one of the openers live, then herad their CD and realized they sucked. Im a slut for live bands...very low standards.

We had about 75 people in a rather small venue, but it was still fun.

Don't their songs get played on that show?

lowfrets 04-25-2005 02:23 PM

after seeing them friday, i must say, they know how to have a good time. sax and trombone are all over the venue, lots of crowd participation, and one very tall singer... its a good time, and a couple of nice guys, check em out and their best album, life of the party.

skankinOstrich 04-26-2005 04:47 PM

Mighty is my favorite album. Then Attack Of. . . only because it was the first album i bought of theirs a couple of years ago.

lynch_me 04-26-2005 05:03 PM

I've got them all. They're holding a CD release party with the slackers, just a few minutes from here But i'm busy and there's only 200 tickets anyways so...no.

when they played at the warped, everyone had to sit down or they said they would play.a guy at a merch table on the side of the stage didnt want to sit down, so people threw him in the mud.it was awesome.

last time I saw them indoors, it was a really small venue, so people were coming on the stage and singing and skanking there, and the guy who play trombone (sp?) just got tired and chased a guy with his trombone. He was running behind the guy on the stage and finally he pushed him in the crowd and it was fun.Going to a Planet Smashers show = a lot og good memories.

And Matt Smasher smiles A LOT and it makes people in the crowd smile too and everybody is happy. It's the recipe to their sucess.

KingOfSka 04-30-2005 12:42 PM

Yeah thats what I like about Ska shows, they're so friendly.
