Have you seen footage of him from when he was a kid or something?
YSI! YSI!

Drummer Ted 08-31-2005 07:10 PM
His voice from when he was a kid. He sounds like a 12 British kid with 3 teeth. But he's the only Clashster who has a good voice for pop music.
I kind of find that very hard to believe though, unless he oringinally had a low voice as a kid

Mannik 08-31-2005 07:12 PM
YSI! YSI!
What?

Drummer Ted 08-31-2005 07:21 PM
What?

What?
www.yousendit.com If you've got the file on your computer.

CombatRock 08-31-2005 08:33 PM

Those files work, complete control is so sweet live!!

Mannik 08-31-2005 08:38 PM
www.yousendit.com If you've got the file on your computer.
Haha, this is complicated. I originally asked you if you had seen footage of Mick when he was young. Then Drummer Ted said YSI! YSI! to me, which at the time I didn't get. Now I've realised that Teddy thought I had the footage on my computer(which I don't) and wanted me to send it via YSI.

Now, have you seen footage of Mick when he was young and if so where?

CombatRock 08-31-2005 08:42 PM

Yes on Westway to the World, just brief pictures though.

Mannik 08-31-2005 08:48 PM

I must have missed something. How does Sean know what Mick's voice sounded like when he was young if theres only pictures?

CombatRock 08-31-2005 08:49 PM

I doubt he has.

Drummer Ted 08-31-2005 08:59 PM

I'm now as confused as you are

Mannik 08-31-2005 09:03 PM

Haha, forget it all then.

CombatRock 08-31-2005 09:38 PM

I would explain but im to tired, sean will clear it up for yall.

CombatRock 09-01-2005 03:52 PM

Not wallpapers but, good pictures, and lost.

I didn't make 'em. I braved the deep bowels of the internet to obtain them though, picking up four trojan horses along the way. Not advisable for those who don't have the time or patience to properly clean their computers. I do have more, and they will be up in several minutes. :) I may have to clean them up with photoshop first, as I did the first ones.

JohnXDoesn't 09-01-2005 05:02 PM

Here's the rest of them. I threw in couple of non Clash ones as well. One of which features the Clash's "new singer"
Your the best, whats your name by the way?
My name is John. Just like my user title. And you are welcome to call me John. Nice to meet you, and thank you for inviting me this past week to the Clash/Joe Strummer forum. It's a good place to spend some time.

CombatRock 09-01-2005 05:22 PM

Welcome man, please post here more often its usually just me Sean and Dustin we need more people to make this stronger and stronger!

SlappedByTheClash 09-01-2005 06:56 PM

Yeah, I don't post in here as much as I should.

Daniel! 09-01-2005 07:00 PM

I haven't posted here in like a month. I just got Super Black Clash Market and From Here To Eternity Live. Both are highly recommended. I now clock in at 8 official Clash albums.

Mild_child 09-01-2005 08:25 PM

Yeah, got my old account back. I'm Drummer Ted

guns_of_brixton 09-01-2005 08:33 PM

Oh hey, did you guys know that in 1973 (or sometime in the mid 70s) Joe Strummer married an immigrant woman just so she could have citizenship or a passport (I forgot exactly what it was) in exchange for a few hundred dollars (or pounds since I assume it was Brit money) which he bought the Telecaster with. He said something once in an interview like "I'd like to get a divorce, but I can't find her."

Sweet. Joe was a pimp too. I should edit that into the bio. ;)

Woah that is one of the coolest stories yet! I need that book!

redstainedeyes 09-01-2005 09:31 PM

That's amazing.

Joe was a funny guy. I wonder how many people know that about him? That story about him getting married for money and not being able to get a divorice, for example. I can see him saying that, tongue in cheek, little smile on his face, and boyish mischief in his eye. Giving a little chuckle. Joe Public sleeping, indeed. :p

guns_of_brixton 09-01-2005 09:40 PM

That was kind of gay, but yes.

"This is Joe Public speaking" That's the best part of Complete Control.
