I got the Mahavishnu Orchestra one today, and while I was at the store, I was considering buying that Flaming Lips record before I saw the Echo and the Bunnymen album.

It's excellent. It is best if you listen to it in one sitting, though. Everthing just goes together as a whole piece of music. Though your parents and grandparents may like it, it truly is worth a listen to by anyone with an appreciation for music. Whether it was worth the decades of waiting is an issue better examined by someone who has actually been alive long enough to go through the wait but it certainly a wonderful album. It has my recommendation.
