Yeah, Mingus is my favorite bassist and that's probably his finest release.

Mingus had too many good albums, Mingus Ah Um is very good, yes, but I do prefer The Black Saint, Pithecanthropus Erectus and Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus over Mingus Ah Um for soem reason. They are all ****ing incredible though.

I read his biography a couple of years ago, he was such a ****ing cool guy and he was probably one of the first sXe guys out there, haha.

my fav is his underrated [I]Let My Children Hear Music[/I] album, but theyre all amazing
