So I did some drinking yesterday while celebrating my 4/20, and now today I have terrible indigestion.

I'm going to go play some Diablo II. I got my Druid up to level 28 last night, but I need to find a server with a bunch of people who can help me kill Diablo. I tried doing it alone last night and got horrifically owned. Later.

sweboy 04-21-2005 03:06 PM

Lvl 28 and can't take down Diablo? Dude... Shame.

Gnarmageddon 04-21-2005 03:12 PM

I've never played Diablo.

After reading Berner's thread on Starcraft, I'm going to play again.

cbmartinez 04-21-2005 03:30 PM

My computer won't let me reinstall Starcraft. I love that game so much.

MattSharpIsCool 04-21-2005 05:18 PM

I watched an entire soccer game awhile ago....Chelsea vs. Bayern Munich or something. It was actually exciting....European soccer is the bees knees, people actually care about it. I watched an MLS game the day before, and it was lame.

I just thought I'd share that. I think I remember someone (Butler?) saying Chelsea was their favorite team. They lost that game, but oh well.

cbmartinez 04-21-2005 05:23 PM

Hahaha, the bee's knees? What century are we living in?

Puma 04-21-2005 05:23 PM

Soccer owns. I used to play, but I guess I wasn't good enough.

MattSharpIsCool 04-21-2005 05:26 PM
Hahaha, the bee's knees? What century are we living in?
Ha, I love that phrase.

I also didnt wanna take the time to get past the swear filter to type shit. But, I guess I just did anyways, oh well.

B 04-21-2005 05:29 PM

I played soccer for 10 years straight, it was fun, I wish I signed up this year too but I missed it. :upset:

Anyways I was wondering if someone could explain to me the difference between indie and pop-punk. If not, tell me where I may find this information. Any help is greatly appreciated.

cbmartinez 04-21-2005 05:33 PM

There's a pretty big difference between indie and pop-punk. Pop-punk is punk music that is influenced by pop giving it a catchier, more upbeat sound. Indie is used for bands that don't really fit into a genre and most indie backs have a kind of a laid back feel.

B 04-21-2005 05:36 PM

I've heard Taking Back Sunday referred to as an indie band and a pop-punk band. Do they just cross genres or is that just a mistake?

It was a terrible mistake.

metty16 04-21-2005 07:26 PM

Pop-Punk = Popular Punk (Rancid, The Lawrence Arms) or Fake Punk (Avril Lavigne)
Indie = I don't have a definition but its sorta like underground rock or something

Oy.

No no no no no. Don't educate people on genres until you know them yourself first.

Pop punk is punk with catchier aspects. Indie is any music released on an independent label, though the indie sound is classified as a more laid back feel to the music and lighter usually.

I haven't heard much TBS but it's supposed to be similar to Brand New and Deja Entendu would fit into the Indie/Pop-Punk category.

me, i call bands like Taking Back Sunday and Brand New Indie Emo (thats just what i say, its reallynot right) cause they don't really fit in with indie, emo, or pop punk so thats how i classify them for myself
Then I found out they retired songs from playing live...
Thats not always a bad thing. Why did they retire the songs and which ones?
It's some American thing, where you can legally get stoned or somehting.....
No it's not. It is International Herb Smoking Day.

I can't remember which one's exactly but letters to you may have been one. That's just egoism when you retire you're own songs and you have like 2 albums..

cbmartinez 04-21-2005 07:51 PM

New Finch song is so sweet.

Women are annoying.
My gf says she feels ignored when I decide that I need some time to hang out with with guys and play some D&D but then when I decide to hang out with her (which i do 9 times out of 10) she gets upset and feels guilty about making me choose between the two of them. I can't win.

Well, yes, women do suck, but then again you're playing D&D so... (j/k I've played it a few times too :-/)

She needs a schedule. Give her 3 days of the week and guys get the others, then there's a balance.

hey, you're not cory! 04-21-2005 08:04 PM

meh, the girl i like is best friends with my best friend...so it works out for me
