Black Lips - 200 Million Thousand how did i use to hate this black lips album? so many bangers on it. |
that one is definitely underrated, the production on it is awesome but it is a little hit or miss, i love "starting over" and "the drop I hold"
|
yeah those two def. stand out to me too along with "let it grow", "trapped in a basement", and "drugs". the bonus track "meltdown" is ridiculous as well.

Jessamine is fairly droney like the mentioned groups....but there are few good iterations of the style. Just check out some of the great 1st gen shoegaze and dreampop groups.

|
Radial Spangle - Syrup Macrame
I highly recommend, nice 90's moody/bendy indie rock. It's got a touch of everything, with an intricate droney quality |
i just know im going to like this record
|
yeah this rules
|
man quickspace and this band i have really liked.
what else do you know of that complements these bands |
I've been scooping the underbelly of indie rock/shoegaze/post-rock/dreampop anything that came out of the 80's underground really.
|
I've deeply dug Mark Robinson (labelhead of Teenbeat) projects:
Unrest - Perfect Teeth, Imperial F.F.R.R Air Miami - Me,Me,Me Grenadine - Goya these are pop-oriented and punk infused affairs consisting of the same members, there is focus on the production element so the turn out is very textured. Grenadine is particularly moody and ambivalent http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SngxR51zTOg check it. |

here's me favourite on the album. |
