This thread could have been avoided with a little use of the search function, also it has no substance behind the topic.

thickasabrick 01-02-2005 06:37 PM

umm in the thread called Whose Gonna Own 2005, a guy named ADU Guitarist (or something along those lines) posted "postcount + 1". That's about as spammy as they come.

and how come when other people report something like this, it looks way more professional than mine does? is there like a button to click or something?

thickasabrick 01-02-2005 06:42 PM

oh nice that makes sense. thanks.

and who are you? are you a new medopolis or something?
Elite people can still use it. ;) Besides, random numbers in a username is the way forward these days apparently. :p
Haha, numbers are the best way to go.

But they have to be used in the right way.

3074326 01-02-2005 09:04 PM

Haha, that made me laugh.

I have a feeling it's the shadowsfall guy I banned earlier for being a complete idiot.

EDIT: Wasn't the shadowsfall guy.

Rasta Rocker 01-02-2005 09:07 PM

so how are they going to clear things

3074326 01-02-2005 09:48 PM

The only person who can help prevent the crashes is the main Administrator (Jeremy aka 'mx').

I suspect that he'll delete more inactive users, buy more bandwidth, and remove the reputation system.

He might not buy more bandwidth, but the other two options would be free and extremely helpful. We need bandwidth more than anything though.

Simple Man 01-02-2005 10:10 PM

Yeah, I think with the addition to the CD reviews site that might help, I think he should add some forums there like the suggestions in Ask The Mods though.

Just my 2 cents.

This is a new one...

2nd time, after i told him not to.

Kingofdudes 01-02-2005 11:47 PM

meh 123 isnt that big of a deal

^Dream~Theater^ 01-02-2005 11:51 PM

Well it says under the rules: If you post "123", you will be temp banned, so why not enforce it? Especially if i said it 2 times and it kept going on.

Kingofdudes 01-02-2005 11:54 PM

It is pretty much part of mx tradition now, it is gonna be impossible to stop it.

^Dream~Theater^ 01-02-2005 11:55 PM

Needle-Dick is spamming useless threads and posts, need's to be dealt with.

Bro, you and I agree on just about everything! We disagree here. The reason behind that rule is it is spam. Useless spam eats bandwidth and causes MX to go down and run slow. If we stop useless spam the forum runs alot better!

That's how i see it, I'm sick of typing in the middle of a reply and then the site goes down for 20 minutes. Deal with him

SonorKen 01-02-2005 11:59 PM

I perm banned that other dude. Also, stuff that happens in the Pit isnt a problem for R&M. Post those problems in the problem user thread in Site.
