They're great. Meatplow adores them, actually.

Check out No Comment and Front by Front.

FatalEnergy 07-29-2009 02:20 AM

Will do.

publicastration 07-29-2009 02:46 AM

Seriously Foetus is so good his music is utterly ridiculous yet catchy compelling and creepy.

Jaundice 07-29-2009 02:48 AM

I hear you, I've been having this damn Don't Hide It, Provide It song stuck in my head since this time yesterday

I'm about to check out this Null EP.

FatalEnergy 07-29-2009 03:09 AM

Anyone dig The Legendary Pink Dots?

Jaundice 07-29-2009 03:19 AM

I've heard a few songs but I've never sat down and given a good listen

also have a CD I've haven't listened to yet that's a collab between people from Pink Dots and Skinny Puppy

Meatplow 07-29-2009 07:04 AM
That 88MM or whatever was pretty good.

Hey meat, do you know if Front 242 is any good?
Yeah what jaundice said, i've only listened to Front by Front though. It's definitely an EBM classic.

I've been meaning to check out The Legendary Pink Dots for a very long time.

Meatplow 07-29-2009 09:01 AM

Nurse With Wound - Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella
Cabaret Voltaire - The Voice of America
SPK - Leichenschrei
Die Krupps - Volle Kraft Voraus

LPD is well worth checking out.

I haven't heard THAT much of them, my girlfriend has been getting me into them, but Crushed Velvet Apocalypse is a great album.

Also, tell me about that Nurse With Wound album once you've listened to it. I've been meaning to check it out

Meatplow 07-29-2009 02:04 PM

For sure. The only familiarity I have with Stapleton's work is Current 93's Crooked Crosses For The Nodding God, essentially his remix of the entirety of their album Swastikas For Goddy. I'm not quite sure if I liked it yet, but i'm curious all the same.

Jaundice 07-30-2009 07:19 AM

Listening to some Assemblage 23 right now, not industrial in the strict sense but gothic/synthpop that owes a lot to the EBM side of industrial

**** is sounding pretty cash, need to get more by this guy

Chris Is Gay 07-30-2009 07:43 AM

does anyone here like Wappenbund

Chris Is Gay 07-30-2009 07:45 AM

I can't find their albums on slsk

Meatplow 07-30-2009 11:50 AM

Kinder des Lichtes looks interesting

Chris Is Gay 07-30-2009 11:58 AM

I just downloaded it from slsk

I was kidding about not being able to find it on slsk

Yeah I'm listening I'll let u guys know

Chris Is Gay 07-30-2009 12:55 PM

Pretty heil in a soundscapy way

Meatplow 07-30-2009 01:05 PM

excellent, i'll check that one out.

listening to Cabaret Voltaire's The Voice of America, this is great. I am in love with vintage analog drum machines, I need some more of their stuff as I liked Mix-Up as well

FatalEnergy 07-31-2009 03:06 AM

I remember when I first checked them out that I thought the were going to be like Current 93, because they're all in that scene, so I was all "wtf?" when I first heard them.

I grew to really like them though.

Jaundice 07-31-2009 03:09 AM

I'll definitely get that album, I've been meaning to look into the bastard for maybe two years now. Also need to read the book it's named after, but that's a different matter.

on another note i just started writing what will be my industrial debut, this should be interesting

Txus 07-31-2009 09:46 AM

Nurse with Wound is probably one of the best things in music ever

Chris Is Gay 07-31-2009 01:25 PM

I'm listening to the xBlade Runner OSTx

not relevant to this thread, but heil

Meatplow 08-03-2009 03:45 AM

i can't remember the soundtrack, is it similar to Logans Run?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHb9b9OOTNU

this Chris & Cosey album is incredible.

Jaundice 08-03-2009 03:46 AM

i was doing a radio show the other day and the DJ played some Chris and Cosey, it was pretty good. Something I need to get into.

FatalEnergy 08-03-2009 04:12 AM

Boyd Rice and NON **** is hard to find at a good bitrate

Jaundice 08-03-2009 04:17 AM

not too concerned about bitrate

Meatplow 08-03-2009 04:20 AM

there are a number of FLAC rips up on waffles, but I can only find a lot of his stuff in 128 kbps or lower off slsk and blogsearch a lot of the time. I want a better copy of Physical Evidence in particular.
wouldn't know what it sounds like cuz you never upload me any boyd rice
lol :p i'll see what I can do over the next couple of days

Jaundice 08-03-2009 04:24 AM

thanks bro, no FLAC tho

Meatplow 08-03-2009 04:29 AM

I don't FLAC if I can help it fear not

ash2107 08-03-2009 10:22 AM

hey all im pretty new to the whole industrial genre, anything you can recommend? ive been into nails and kmfdm for years and listened to some of the usual bands like ministry, godflesh, skinny puppy etc.. i got some angelspit the other day, i quite liked them although maybe a little too 'dancy' on their second album... anyways, any recomendations?

oh yea also have any of you heard of abney park? more sort of electronic gothicy with violins (yup i am the genre defining master!) than industrial.. but its all steampunk themed, its really surreal but seems to work well... but yea noone seems to have heard of them, check them out if you fancy something a bit different

1338 h4x0r 08-03-2009 10:59 AM

Marilyn Manson

Txus 08-03-2009 11:27 AM

Alex: I have a NON album up in my blog with a good bitrate, if you'd like that.

FatalEnergy 08-03-2009 02:29 PM

I would.

To keep on the industrial-metal/coldwave side of things I would suggest to check out some Numb (Wasted Sky, Blood Meridian), Acumen Nation (Psycho The Rapist) and Flesh Field (Strain). Also you could try Pigface's Gub which is a collaboration between just about any artist who was important in the early 90's industrial scene. Its hit or miss but worth a look. Otherwise there are tonne of other industrial I could recommend but you might not be that keen on just yet ;)

1338 h4x0r 08-03-2009 03:10 PM

"tonne"

you're un-American Haz
